Ignoring the sleepy girl who I startled I take a step forward and find myself stumbling a bit as I moved about fifty percent faster than usual. It's not that bad but it takes a bit of getting used to. After walking in and out of the nook slowly with a curious and attenuative audience getting entirely used to my new walking speed I spread my wings and gather my mist around my wings as I condense it and leap from the branch flapping my wings as I circle around the branch to the bottom flying towards the hanging containers carefully checking every bit of it for damage I then slowly cut down each of the containers then slice open the two bins before draining them entirely then making a long single-edged straight blade with no handle and gently scrape along the edge of the urine soak hides removing the leftover flesh, and grains from the hair then flipping it over and removing the fleshy membrane entirely. After that, I make a bunch of claws with no edges out of clouds then begin to stretch, beat, and other exercises to process the hide standing far back as the urine sprays everywhere inadvertently drying out the hide. While that's doing that I make a few hundred claws straining my mental strength as I work on slowly pulling all the corpses out of my mist cover in a long line away from the tree we slept in at a time as with so much extra effort and multi-tasking my way through processing the hides I can't bear to move all my sweeper claws in separate direction or I might rip or cut the hides.
Noticing Ellie coming down I condense another claw and when she gets to the ground I send it over to her and pull her to my side, "Hey!!! What are you pulling me for?" shh I can't respond stop asking me things, before turning the claw and a bit of extra mist from the air into two sheets of clouds exactly the same as the two hides I am processing I wrap the two clouds around her body and begin to remove bits so that I can properly measure it overlapping the edges of the two clouds on either side of her after I had properly measured her with clouds I move the two clouds away from her and disperse them back into mists.
After Ellie figure out I was done with she looked at the hides dripping urine and the pile of juicy meat beneath it she cringes and walks the other way to a clear side with no corpses before picking out a small corpse from the uncleared area and begins processing it with her boar bone knife. I don't know why she cringes she wouldn't be able to tell its urine... maybe just the gross pile of meat but... that describes most things around us right now as it's still mostly a sea of corpses. Eh, who cares. Moving a few of my claws on their way back I grab a few spare dried tree branches from the ground and dump them in a pile before Ellie while I watch my claws do their work and the other sweeper claws go back to sweeping away in the 30 feet circle with me at the center.
After a good couple of hours, food was placed before me as the girl sat down next to me. I looked over at her, noticing she was missing her backpack I sent a claw into the tree to grab it and bring it down seeing as it had very little meat left after our day in captivity it was quite light so not that hard to carry down. After placing it down I bring over the sack of brains and rabbit fur check to make sure not of it is rotting or eaten then grab the wooden box full of wolf hair and a hummingbird beak then toss the box into Ellie's backpack before dropping the sack onto the ground next to the girl along with her backpack. As she eats she looks at the two large bags and the hide I'm shaking and stretching with claws then to me "Clearly you aren't gonna be able to carry any of this... and you've gathered everything so I guess you expect me to carry all of this with us to the lake?" Giving her a sideways glance with my eyes while eating I gently shake my head only to hear a deep sigh from Ellie. Laughing a little inside I finish up my food before walking over to Ellie and sitting on her lap my head facing to the side as I begin to meditate not consuming the extra mist but using it to slowly expand my mist along the path towards the river we saw before. Using claws to lead away all the insane collared monsters as I slowly close in the mist on the sides and back to about 20 feet away from us.
After a good hour of preparation, I stand up and climb onto Ellie's shoulder and form an arrow in front of her as I eat the sweeper claws that had finished sweeping a path towards the lake and had given up on the rest. With a deep sigh, Ellie grabbed the backpack wore it then hefted up the large sack but before she got a chance to grumble I used my new skill and she suddenly felt like the bag weighed much less than it did before. As she looked down at the ground that has been completely obscured in clouds before taking a step forward and stumbling a bit to the newfound speed that is almost twice her previous speed... This buff has a strong effect too bad it doesn't work for me. Whatever I'm already faster inside my mist maybe if I was standing inside thick clouds I'd receive the same boost. Granted with her big human legs she is already much faster than me. As she sets out I move the mist from our rear forward keeping a twenty feet circle around us at all times while the mist in front of us keeps moving forward and the claws clear out the monsters.
After a few hundred feet of the boring travel the none collared animals begin to not flee at the sight of my mist as none of the survivors of my mist are around her they don't know to fear me. As we travel I make sure not to kill anyone while dragging the monsters in our path away from it keeping the craziness outside of our mist cover but the fear tactic doesn't help anymore as none of the beasts fear something that won't kill them. So even the none collared beast are simply attacked and lead away. Along the way, I meditated reinforcing my body as went. After about a day of travel, we finally get to the river.
