As the girl roams about I sit upon her shoulder looking about playing with my mist while she acts as my personal taxi service. Oh, wait... you gotta pay for a taxi... Mount? No... I don't wanna have a little girl as a mount... that sounds creepy again... Hmm I can't think of the right word hmm ah whatever... I wonder what this little girl's name is? Looking about at her face then to Alex, hey can we inspect her?

Quickly wrapping my wings up in mist I jump and fly off. In the sky, I muffled shouting from the ground but ignore it as I fly up and away. Down below I see a massive swarm of giant bug-like creatures just outside the city to the east and decide to fly west as fuck that... As I fly away I spot the little girl below chasing after me. She begins to cry when she realizes I am getting further and further away. Wow... Nope won't be able to control me with your emotional manipulation... Fuck you now I'm sad? Grr ok, you can but I still won't hang around... After breaking the forest line after I escape the ruins I land atop a tree. A few minutes later the crying little girl runs up but I'm hidden so she walks by. Walking about 30 feet into the woods and looking around she shows a helpless face and curls up beneath a tree as she hugs her knees to her chest.
Stop looking so cute... and why does this emotion feel similar to when Alex left me alone? Grr... that's low... I mean I'm newly born so I mean she probably doesn't know she's hitting a nerve but still... Now I'm feeling lonely. Upset I slump down on the branch and puff out some mist to start my daily training afraid to use too much or use my light as I'll get caught. After about 20 minutes of feeling bad, I can't take it anymore and shroud my wings in clouds again and flying down towards the ground and walking off. Can't manipulate me... Nope nope nope only a creepy pedo would be so easily manipulated with a cute little girl...
After a couple of minutes of walking on my little legs, I find myself tired... I am not well designed for long journeys... Also, where am I going exactly? Before long I hear the familiar sound of sobbing and realize I had somehow gone in a circle and am now staring at the little girl crying alone in the woods... Ok, why am I walking in circles? These trees all look the same grr... Wait... am I being racist to my previous race here? Hmm... Shrouding my wings in clouds I flap em and fly up to get a better look at the forest around me to figure out which way I wanna go at a certain height I spot the swarm again... No good they are coming in this direction... Turning around to try to fly the other direction I spot a giant hulky beast lumbering through the sea of trees that only manage to reach the belly of the giant lion-like creature... Immediately I dive down and find myself a couple of feet away from the girls hiding place, she doesn't seem to notice me as she's crying into her knees but now is not the time, I rush over and jump onto her before puffing out all the mist I can in the hopes of hiding from the coming dangers. After my health hits about 50, I swap to condensing it and a thick cloud forms around us gently shrouding the little alcove at the base of a tree that we are hiding in right after the girl begins to stir and finally spots me on her shoulder and goes to hug me while smiling and screams out happily but I can't hear her over the sound of an even louder scream or roar... Before the sound of countless wings flapping follows it and the quick thumping of large paws on the ground. The girl's happy face doesn't last long as she realizes what is happening and looks away from me as terror begins to fill her face but all she sees is the thick clouds I have surrounded us with. Then she looks back at me confused. What? I'm not a pedo I swear... I am also not gonna ignore a little girl while she dies... seems like a dick move... also a nice hiding space... who am I trying to justify myself towards... She can't hear me.
To distract myself I begin to spread my mist outside the condensed little cloud to look at the little battle that's going on outside.
The giant lion-like beast is crushing the swarm of little bugs with its giant paws over and over occasionally spitting out a gust of searing hot breath and roasting the swarm before it alive. As the giant slaughters the little creatures in mass occasional bites begin to amass on its body and blood begins to trickle from its back. About halfway through the swarm, the lion begins to slow down and by the time the swarm is almost entirely slaughtered the beast is struggling to stand... There's only a few of the swarm left but the beast is practically on death's door itself. Hmm... Condensing a bit of the mist I push it into one of the bug's eyes and fully condense a small cloud of smoke inside its head before turning it into a claw and lashing out at its brain.
"Damage dealt to hell beetle level 3 -13"
Really? Can't even kill the thing by attacking its brain? Well, might as well keep it up. Lashing out again I deal a bit more damage to it.

After an exhausting solid minute of slashing at its undefended crucial organ from the inside of its head, I finally hear a different message and look over to see what it is.

Welp very little changed there guess my hp and mana probably increased a little guess there's no major change to my strength from leveling is there? Alex did say my level represents the amount of energy in my body and when I hit the cap I can evolve... Hmm Ok then... Next beetle I guess...
