The beat of the wardrum, the whole army was moving.
Eatch step made the ground shake, and you could see the dust and rubble move to the beat of our feet.
the whole army amounted to around 10.000 monsters.
it was mostly orcs, they made much better soldiers than goblins or other monsters of a lesser rank. all the orc wore heavy plate armor and had a long cleaver to cut down what the masters of the army commanded.
wyerns was used as mounts to the warmages, they were the generals of the army.
I felt dead tired. We had been marching for days. can you think of how i feel to be in the middle of a pack of monsters, sweating and grunting, crossing rivers and wide plains, with apparently no destination in sight. I had tried asking for the destination, but all i got from the orc around me was a shrug of the shoulders, or a grunt.
Before I became an orc, i was a human of earth. It was the strangest thing, going to bed and suddenly waking up in the body of an orc, taken straight out of a good old fantasy novel.
I didn't know what to make of it.
All I knew was that I didn't want to die, not even as an orc.
Most of all, I wanted to get back to my old life.
But how? I didn't know, but I still carried a burning flame of hope.
As i was looking to the right, i could see mountains stretching to the sky, it was the same to my left. I could see the warmages in the sky started doing some strange formations, probably casting some magic.
Suddenly the whole army stopped.
The drums started getting louder and louder. All the orc around me started beating their chest. It felt like a rock and roll concert back on earth.
Far ahead i could see a massive fortress. It was clearly buildt of stone. It reminded me of an old english castle, just mutch bigger. The realisation dawned on me. It was time for war.
