Jiangshan is a world where cultivators run rampant.
A world where the weak are prey to the strong.
A world where one is capable of ascending the skies with a single leap.
In almost every way possible, it was completely different from what Jiao Meiyu, a modern man, was used to. It was also then that he realized something was wrong.
His spaceship should've arrived on an completely uninhabited planet, but this world had fully-developed societies of its own, inhabited by men and beasts alike. The place he was currently staying at, according to Lin Guang, was called Cantian academy, a great school with a history spanning back hundreds of years.
Moreover, there were such things like cultivation being taught and learned. Cultivation was a broad term, but there were two kinds of cultivation professions most things would essentially boil down to.
Material arts and pharmacy.
Many liked to practise martial arts, but only few had what it takes to become genuine practioners. Pharmacists were even harder to come by. That's because martial and elemental roots can only be passed down from one person to another, and can even be lost in some cases. Throughout many centuries, those roots had spread far and wide to the point where nobody truly knows if they have them or not.
Jiao Meiyu, who had been listening to Lin Guang very attentively, couldn't help but sigh in astonishment.
As it turns out, he really did end up on the wrong planet. He figured that some kind of accident must've occurred that caused him to end up here, but he probably had to dig a little deeper to find out more.
At first, he had been mulling over his situation. But the more he pondered over it, the more curious he became.
Ah, wasn't this a one-in-a-million opportunity?!
But whether it was this a meat pie falling from heaven or a disaster waiting to unfold itself, only time could tell.
After an incense's worth of time, the duo arrived at Jiao Meiyu's new lodgings. Because there weren't many pharmacists to begin with, the pharmacist junior quarters were relatively empty. As for Lin Guang, he ran away as fast as he could after bringing him here, afraid that he would be asked to come inside to talk some more.
Jiao Meiyu sighed. He still had so many questions to ask!
"Guess I'll have to look for him another time", he whispered to himself as he entered the dorm. The wooden door was pushed open with a heavy shove, revealing a sparse, wooden interior. A wooden bed and cabinets, a sitting area and a long mirror hanging on the wall.
It was simple, but in the end, still a free dorm. As long as he had a roof over his head, he was content!
