Chapter 1 - The Beginning

At the peak of the mount lies a mysterious ground which rumours to be the nests of the legendary dragons; which the village of Cocytus stands, worshiping the divinity of these mythical creatures. Despite their rich resources, such as golds, diamonds and silver, resides beneath the outskirts of the mountain, no one dared to step foot on the dragon's territory. As the myth grows old, never been forgotten, it was named throughout its title 'The Dragon's Tooth". Far beneath the forest, what mysteries shall be unravelled? Upon entering the labyrinth of trees, our unknown shall be discovered.

For once, I have never been so bored throughout the span of my life. Decades had passed yet under no circumstances could be amounted as a hobby nor a thing which I could kill my time with. The rest of the dragons, my uncle Rey, held a tournament for all ages, was and still is their prime entertainment. Being the first prince, heir of the next lineage of the dragon's blood, great expectations were casted upon myself as If everyone anticipates either the befall or a glamorous environment upon my future's reign; which I hated the most. I never really asked for the crown nor being a dragon. What life could I have lived if I was born as a fetus in a human being. Having the closest peak of immortality graves the most frivolous costs moreover isolated from various creatures.

Dragons are said to be territorial lizards. They live their youth for the 'betterment' of their self. Having great lands, entertainment, sake, everything to amount their foolishness. Not me. I ventured the scopes of our territory when I was around 80 years old. A cub to our culture and a time limit for frail humans. Escaping the stone pledge rules of my ancestors, I found a village right across the mountain's range. Humans, elves, dwarves and even demi humans are residing in a remote village. I stood by in the largest tree, appreciating my gifted senses to gaze upon the radiant sun and the livelihood of the society humans are into. Smiles showing on to their faces. Kids playing around, kicking some sort of wooden ball. Even with their short life span nevertheless it made them content, which, I thought dragons… would somehow understand.

The event turned into a routine, whereas every afternoon, when the sun is shining the highest, I would go outside hidden from all my relatives who were observing the dragon's tournament.

Right around when I was 200 years old, I began to grow more. My 19 ft height grew quickly around 28 ft and the baby fats which had accumulated transformed myself into a majestic being to say the least. From the books that I had read (we dragons had a library which was rarely used by everyone), I could be an S class monsters to the adventurers eyes.

as I sat upon the tallest tree, using my anti-detection magic cloaked around my body, I stared with excitement and envy around the villagers who were once young became old and new sets of children were playing around. Roughly, most teenagers (which it was called from the text on the book that I had red) were using a some sort of stick, casting miniature spells 'fire ball' and 'ice shards" to a marked trunk which seemed to be their practise arena.

"Petty humans" I swear that that couldn't be called magic.

With pride, I casted a meteorite right across the lake, near their village. In self-content, I ended the day full yet lacking from something

"what do they have that we dragons did not?" I murmured

I do not know whether it was wealth, honour, or power. We have all of these, even amongst the weakest of our species, the wyverns, has their own territory that we cannot rally instinctively.

I went back in my tavern greeted by piles of books and rocks scattered around at the ingress, the ceiling which I carefully carved was now slightly shifted to the right and wreckage of sounds could also heard inside. The scowling anger radiating from both of my parents, who are currently standing outside, in rage, was a disastrous sight to be seen. My mother, Drakaina, raises her head befitting for a dragon. Sapphire colours locked on sight towards mine, making her ocean-like marble scales slowly spread in rage; she does that when she's upset or mad. Holding my breath in surprise, I hurriedly shifted my gaze to my dad, making an indirect language, desperately saying "please help me, dad". My mother screeches loudly as she can, making my humble abode tremble in magnitude.

"WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?" she asks

Moving closer, I kept a long gaze, far too forward at my mother. Meeting her eyes, I was now obliged on explaining everything from what had happen. We dragons can never lie. That is our pride. Upon hearing my statement, her wraith accumulates. Retracting her claws, he creates a large dent on the stone flooring in the cave. The temperature withal rose, creating a warm atmosphere circulating through the entire room. As I readied my breath, which I myself is confident with, my father flapped his wings and flew in the middle of our heated argument with my mother.

"Son, let us listen furthermore to your explanation and DRAKAINA, listen to our son before he finishes his story. He has a good reason behind it, I believe."

my father, Archion, is always calm and collected. Being a king was never been easy. As the king/leader of our species, he occasionally arrange disputes between dragons.

Acting as a referee, he stands tall in the middle of our rage, reaching up to 35 ft tall. My dad is a tall western dragon that looks stupidly strong while my mother is an eastern dragon ranging to 28 ft tall. Apart from my mother's blue hue, my father on the other hand has blazing scales. His fiery wraith, from the stories which I had heard of, made a kingdom tremble upon the sight of my father's scales. Using his 10% flames called "will-o-wisp" he obliterate the entire kingdom, leaving no one behind.

As the king and queen both stood against each other, I broke the silence and began speaking up on an open space between my parents.

"Mum, I was out venturing the outskirts of our territory. I was so bored and… and I just…." Dragon scales (tears) started dripping in my eyes. Noticing my sudden burst of emotions, which is the first that everyone had seen, made my parents worried;

hearing my tone scribbled through the end, my father held me close, braces me with all his might.

"Son, we know. Being the prince of our kingdom stakes high regards for you. When I was young, indeed, I felt the pressure popping up the noble dragon's veins. Have you seen the look on their faces when I beat the crap out of them? Son, if you were there, I'd bet you'd be crapping out magic cores around and fill this entire room!" he cracks out a laugh, influencing my shattered heart.

"BUT THE EARTH DRAGONS BENEATH ACROSS THE CAVERNS AND THE WATER DRAGONS ON THE LAKE…THEY'RE THEY'RE.." pausing in between, my mother's sentences swallows despair as she began shaking with anger yet worried about my stature.

"I know Sky wouldn't do anything rash, right son?" my father asks for reassurance

"y-yeah, dad"

Sensing the conversation was headed to its conclusion, my parents walked away, trying to come in terms with the previous argument. I curled around, drowsy from the troublesome event, hoping for a new today.
