Dreigh remained unconscious for two days straight which caused worry for the other remnants. Karina had checked him a few times but found out that nothing was wrong, even his wounds have completely healed without a scar left. It might be because of something psychology that he remains asleep, waiting was all they could do.
On the night of the second day of his sleep, Dreigh opened his eyes to slightly dark room with only the light of a candle. He slowly sat up and looked around but saw no one. A frown appeared on his slightly pale face and a trace of confusion can be seen on his eyes. He felt that something was not quite right about him.
But before he could think more about it, the creaking of the door caught his attention and with curious eyes his gaze focused on the person who entered. Vira saw that Dreigh was already awake, "you're awake," he exclaimed with joy on his voice. This man rarely spoke but would always rescue them without hesitation although most of the time he ends up worrying them.
Dreigh wrinkled his brows in confusion, he did not know this man and yet he was speaking to him so casually. "Who are you?" Dreigh's voice was cold an indication that he treats this man a stranger.
Vira was rendered speechless at the sudden treatment and he did not know what to say. Did he suffer a memory loss? He couldn't help but ask himself. He slowly stepped back and left the house in a hurry to find the others.
The man in question stood up and circled the small house with eyes full of curiosity. The uncomfortable feeling he felt when he woke up was forgotten instead he focused on his current environment. He was sure that he was not inside the palace since there was no room like this inside the palace. He was trying to remember what had happened to him but his mind seems to have a blank space in it. Without knowing what had happened, he managed to remain calm and assess the situation,

Vira on the other hand found the others at the werewolf leader's house. He was panting and kept on pointing on the direction of their lodging, "he's awake!" he managed to say in between his pants. "But something is wrong is with him."
"What do you mean?" Endo asked.
"He-he doesn't know me!" Vira was still in a state of shock.
"That's impossible, we did not find anything head related injury on him and the poison was immediately expelled from his body…" Karina expressed her doubts.
Vira nodded in understanding, since they were all there when Karina, him and the healer of the werewolves all examined Dreigh to find out why he was not waking up, "I know, but he looked at me like I was a complete stranger and asked me who I am!" he threw his hand on the air in exasperation.
Each of them looked at each other and hurriedly left for the small house they were staying. Karina pushed the door a little bit forceful and saw the man with his back on them. He was currently in deep thought that he did not notice their arrival.
"Dreigh," Endo called out. The man jumped a little in surprise and looked back at the people who entered the house with wide eyes. He did not hear them come in and admonished himself silently because of his carelessness. What if these people had come to assassinate him, he would die without even knowing that an enemy had come.
His nervousness was instantly relieved at the moment his gaze fell on Karina and Arthur who were currently standing among these strangers. His eyes suddenly shone brighter as he excitedly bounded towards Karina and gave her a hug.
"Karina! You're here. I thought I was the only one in this place. I was so scared, it's good that you and Arthur are here!" he suddenly exclaimed in happiness like a child.
This action caused a wave of surprised gasps and shocked expressions. Even Arthur was taken aback at this childish act of grown up man.
"This-" Karina hesitated and finally pushed Dreigh away from her.
"What's the matter Karina? Did I do something wrong? Is that why I am not in the palace? Did my father finally got tired of me and banished me?" a series of questions was spouted and they were unable to answer him. They were still in a state of confusion and only looked at Dreigh like he was crazy.
"What's happening?" he felt a sudden apprehension at how these people were looking at him. Even Karina and Arthur were not talking and were only staring at him. He took a step back and revealed a scared expression. His eyes were slowly covered with mist and tears finally fell. He did not know what was happening. Why were Karina and Arthur being cold with him? Why were these people looking at him like he was talking nonsense?
Did his father finally abandoned him and sent these people to mock him? He suddenly had the urge to run. He did not want to stay in that place. The feeling of being alone was slowly overwhelming him.
The remnants were afraid of approaching Dreigh they could tell that his emotions were unstable. They only stood there and looked at him but they did not expect what had happened next. Dreigh suddenly turned back and leapt through the open window of the house and ran towards the dark forest.
"Dreigh!" startled shouts echoed from the house. They were not even given a moment to digest what was happening and now they were running after Dreigh.
He ran as fast as he could, the only thought on his mind was to get away from this place and from those people. He did not want to see those gazes again, even the people whom he thought cared for him did not give him the usually warm gaze they had. Everything was wrong, he thought he could remain calm and think rationally like what his tutors had taught him but he can't, he cannot do it.
Dreigh tightly closed his eyes and continued to ran, he did not pay attention to where he was going or to the scratches he got from all the leaves and branches that he passed by. He did not care. A protruding root of a tree caused him to stumble and fall on a slope side of the forest he entered. He tumbled down and stopped at the bank of a river which was illuminated by the moon that had already risen in the sky.
He stood up and in avertedly saw his reflection on the clear water and with the help of the moon's bright light, an unfamiliar face was staring back at him. He stumbled back and once again fell on the wet ground with a horrified look on his face.
---
Vira and the others asked the werewolves for their help since they were not familiar with the forest. They were not able to catch up to him and immediately lost sight of him. Karina and Arthur decided to look for him together in a separate group. The others did not complain and also went on a different direction with some werewolves.
The two Singular walked inside the forest where Dreigh ran to in a complicated mood. They were not sure how to deal with Dreigh when they find him. "What do you think?" Karina suddenly stopped and looked at Arthur.
"I'm not sure…" he answered and averted his gaze. Karina could tell that Arthur was hiding something from them.
"Arthur, I need to know," this time Karina did not relent and looked at Arthur with firm eyes.
He sighed in resignation as he once again looked Karina on the eye. "I met Dreigh during the battle of between Luellia and Glasfale. I fought him and at the moment when I was supposed to kill him a thin light glow appeared around him, it was like protecting him from any harm. I was stunned and finally chose to run away. Later, I went to the military institute and found him. I wanted to confirm my presumption but found that nothing unusual about him. I've also investigated him and the information I got was clean. I was ready to leave but because of the fight against that general, I felt our master's power once again and saved them. The power was coming from Dreigh but his affinity was very different from our master."
"Is that the reason why you are still with them?" she heard the explanation and did not judge him. They were free to do what they want and this is Arthur's decision.
"I don't know and I'm not sure…" he was still unsure and now more confusion suddenly appeared. This whole situation was a mess.
Karina did not answer and look at a distance. A fluttering sound came from their side and Arthur saw one of his wind spirits, the spirit circled around him while whispering that they had found Dreigh. He got the location and both of them went to the direction given by the spirit.
