You may be thinking, mate? What is a mate? Why do only alphas get them? The simple answer is a mate is someone you share your life with; they complete you. They are the person that you can't live without; they are your soulmate, or so they say at least. Finally, not just alphas get a mate. I didn't mean it like that. Everyone gets a mate when they turn 18. However, alphas are supposed to get their mates when they turn 16. According to the elders, this is because when an alpha finds his mate, they become the Luna and a Luna is very important to a pack, but we will get into that later.

Now back to what I was saying, when you fine your mate, you get to know them, and you can accept your mate or reject your mate. If you accept your mate, then at the age of 18 you will get married to your mate. But once or twice someone's mate has been human! Every wolf turns at the age of 16 and that's when they get to know their wolf. I am 18; I have already turned but I still haven't found my mate!!
