After finally locating a village the group was able to discover their current location. Several days have passed. Rielen would wake up for brief amounts of time in this period. The fever seemed to stay and she didn't have a big appetite. Eon would immediately stop the group as soon as he felt her stir.
She was so weak. The ability used to save them seemed to take a different kind of toll on her body than magic. Eon wished he could allow her to rest at an inn, but they were several hundred miles from their kingdom. Even using enhancement magic it would take several more days to reach the border.
Tomorrow they should reach a bigger city. There they could buy a few horses. Eon planned to send out a messenger to have Karla meet them at the border. The enemy troops had taken away their obvious gold. Fortunately, the elite troops had many coins sewn in their clothes and packs.
