A bright light filled my eyes as I got over the nauseousness of suddenly teleporting. The wind howled in my ears as I became aware of my surroundings. A wide circle of stone with a steep fall in three directions. A path led to another cave where the figures dressed in forest colors were quickly disappearing.
Noises of men landing heavily were beside me as I felt a hand on my waist. Eon was checking me for injuries, unable to hide the concern on his face. "They are there." I used a low voice so as not to draw attention to our location.
Eon nodded and unsheathed his weapon at his waist. The scouts we had brought with us were silent as we approached the walkway. We were not in a good position. Exposed on a cliff trying to see into a dark cave. I had a bad feeling, but the portal had closed behind us and there was no turning back.
