Light flooded her eyesight as she opened her eyes. She blinked a few times trying to get used to the bright light. Next to her was Eon, who looked worse for wear. A cough escaped her lips and suddenly Eon was awake and looking directly at her.
"I am awake!" She lightly called to him. Eon frowned and sat up and pushed her down. "Do you have any idea how risky your actions were? How worried I have been? Do you even care that you could have died?"
Her eyes became gentle as she let him speak his mind. Patting his shoulder she looked at her surroundings. "How bad is it?" Eon looked unamused at her trying to change the subject. "The city was a total loss. Surrounding areas were unaffected. My parents died."
