Hearing these words, Edie blushed immediately. She wanted to get rid of his hands, but she was so weak in front of him.
"But I want to cook today. I don't want to play cards. Do you mind? I've been so busy with my work before that I didn't make time to cook for them. Do you mind me using your kitchen for a while?"
"But....but you are my guest. How could I..."
"If you come to our house, we would ask you to cook for us."
He said in a peaceful voice. No one could say no to him, as if his sound had magic power.
"All...all right then. I could ask Sophie to help you."
"Thank you. But that's not necessary. I can handle everything myself."
Then, he held Edie and took her to the sofa, "Sit here for a while. Sophie's mother prepared all the ingredients. You might don't like some dishes. Just enjoy those you like. I would cook for you in the future....if I have one more chance."
He said. The last sentence sounded upset.
Then, he turned around and left.
