Aaron could not help feeling disappointed as he watched Eddie turn around. The smile that had been on his face gradually disappeared.
"Eddie? Is it you? Where are you going?" He felt as if he were possessed as he recited her name in his mind. He didn't know what he was thinking, but the wan smile crept up on the corner of his mouth again, and Aaron murmured to himself, "I'm getting more and more interested in this new sister-in-law of mine."
He burst out laughing and walked out of the room.
As soon as Eddie found the exit of the garden, she saw Stuart. Eddie instantly felt relieved as if a hanging stone had finally fallen to the ground, and she rushed to him.
"Where have you been? Did you not think that I would be worried about you?" Stuart's tone was unusually gentle. Eddie quickly admitted to her mistake, "I didn't mean to. It was so stuffy in there, and I wanted to come out and get some fresh air. Don't be angry with me!"
