Sitting on the other side of the table, Stuart saw the faint dark circles under Edie's eyes and could not help but ask, "You didn't sleep well last night?" Edie was eating the toast and acting as if nothing had happened, "It doesn't matter. It was just a dream."
Most definitely, it was not a good dream, but Stuart didn't say anything else. After breakfast, the doorbell rang. Mr. Sampson went to open the door. Edie thought that it was Ivan who was coming to pick Stuart up and take him to work and paid no attention to it. She was holding a cup to drink the rest of her milk.
Unexpectedly, the person at the door was not for Stuart. It was a professional woman; she walked into the house and greeted Stuart. Then she went straight up to Edie to say hello. "Nice to meet you, Mrs. Yates."
