[Proto Earth 1]
After awhile of following Lilia in her daily routine everyday without any complaints, Kaido then started to observe her habits during combat and managed to point out some skills that is quite lacking in comparison to Melfina. Even thought he doesn't know just how the system actually works, Kaido was still certain that combat development can only be attained by proper training of the basic movements.
Just by observing her from afar, Kaido somehow projected Lilia as someone who simply follow tasks and orders without any proper knowledge nor training towards such skills. Each and every form of her movement just screams as an amateur copying a professional stunt.
There were many holes and loopholes in Lilia's movement. There were also amateurish mistakes, but due to having a system which helps her improve, she somehow could bypass all those needed experience and training and cheat her way to the top. She is a completely opposite of Kaido who learned his current fighting style through numerous death defying situations.
In that moment when the sun begun to set on that certain Wednesday, right after Lilia went out of the university grounds, and right after she mildly visits Shelly and Allesandro. Kaido then walk quietly from behind and begun asking some questions.
"By the way, having a system to compensate your lacking combat experience is really something isn't it?"
"... Well yeah! if you put it that way, indeed it is... why the question?"
"Nothing! its just that i felt like its kinda cheat"
"I cant argue with that... Its like i only have to exert some minimum effort and then BAM!!! i became a master of one technique from one thing to another... no training, no practice, no maximum effort"
"Yeah! and because of that, your movements often times leads you to having a huge opening|"
In that moment, Lilia turned towards Kaido as he breath out a cold breath and replied.
"Are you lecturing me right now? I didn't know that you can give out lectures... why didn't sys ever informed me?"
Hearing its name being mentioned out, Lilia's system then reacted.
[Sys: "It's hard to keep an updated track on a person who doesn't have a system host"]
As the system informed Lilia of such thing, Kaido then continued speaking.
"If you keep moving on that track, you will soon reach your limit.... a human body can only handle such stress... even thought you know how to enact such movement, if your body can follow up your thoughts, you would soon hit your limit"
[Sys: "What the foreigner said is true host! you've been slacking off lately"]
"Sys!?!?! Just who's side are you on?"
After awhile, Lilia once again turned to look at Kaido with a knowing expression as she puts her hands inside her pockets.
"So what your suggesting is that i need training? are you going to teach me? but i better warn you! even thought you plan to teach me, it would be pointless if my system could simply copy and paste your skills to mine"
"Oh you don't need to worry about that, so what do you say?"
".... Hmmm.... Fine... We'll do it tomorrow after class" said by Lilia after deep contemplation
With that she then continu8ed to walk back to her home, with Kaido tagging along behind her. Unknown to the both of them, a pair of eyes are currently watching them from high up top, as such eyes scanned the surrounding and tried to pierce through the both of them. But before the system could even warn Lilia about the presence that is observing her, those people then soon disappeared into the darkness and slip pass through the shadows of the night.

The next morning after spending her time in her daily routine, Lilia then led Kaido towards a closed construction site after her class and waited for him to actually teach her this some type of called combat experience. In fact Lilia wasn't expecting much due to her having a system. Ever since the systems have appeared in this world and selected numerous players, training and going back to the basics have become insignificant in face of auto learning from the players themselves.
While training may be able to close some of gaps between a player and a normal person, the difference in body stature, stats, and cheats is somehow the sole reason why player were designated differently from natural combat people. For primary example, a 5 year old could actually defeat a veteran soldier just by having the system copy its opponent's skills and movements. With such functions, training became unnecessary.
However Kaido says otherwise, with him not having a system and Lilia having her own cheat system, one can even compare it to an ordinary person teaching a cheat like existence. That is the reason why Lilia was skeptical towards such routine.
"Alright! teach me the way..." said Lilia as she stretches her body
For this short session, Lilia is currently wearing a black sports bra underneath her chest length purple jacket and a high rise black leggings on her body. Couple with her tied up ponytailed hair and here perfect body shape figure like a model;, one can even mistake her for a celebrity athlete getting ready for some kind of an Olympics.
But such clothes which normally attracts any men passing by was useless in front of Kaido. After all he have seen enough model figure body to make him immune of reacting towards such attractiveness of a female shape.
In pair towards Lilia's attire, Kaido simply wearing a white T-shirt coupled together with his black gym pants. If one had to comment in Kaido's attire in comparison towards Lilia's looks. On could even mistake him as an average man standing beside a model like woman.
With that their short session starts off.
"First of all you need to stretch your body"
"Stretch my body? why?"
"Well this is to prevent having your ligaments and joints being teared apart due to sudden use of force and to prevent shock"
".... Do i really have to?"
"Move your bum"
Following Kaido's words, Lilia begun to exercise on her spot as she stretches out her body and felt her back popping out from her spine.
"Don't mind those small pops... those are just accumulation of stress, plus you've been hunching back for quite awhile in your stream, so having those pops is a natural reaction"
After awhile her body finally finished its warm up, as Kaido quickly moved opposite of her and distanced herself from him.
"First of all you are an assassin, you need to be quick and life threatening.... you don't have to be stealthy all the time after all when your target is strong, stealth itself would prove useless, the same can also be said in instant kill attacks"
"....."
"That is the problem towards most assassin type people, once they got found out by their target and have failed to execute an instant kill strike, they often times, they often times move out of rhythm which would cause their demise.... but you don't have to be afraid if all of you plans fail, the important thing towards the assassin is to kill its target not by staying hidden all the time"
"..."
"You need to learn how to play with the darkness and the shadows, you need to incorporate your movement towards your surroundings, you need to make them miss you in plain sight.... disappear in plain sight, you know what i mean"
"..."
"But first you need to learn how to fight"
"... Seriously? I mean i can fight you know, i know taekwondo, martial arts, and ... why am i explaining to you? You already saw me fight right?"
"Well yeah, but your fighting style is situated to be against a human same as you... but since your fighting against monsters, your martial arts and whatnot is about 80% ineffective... plus your attacks are based on real brawl with no abilities and powers involved... but since magic and skills are available, martial arts are not that proficient enough"
"Then what about those bare handed striker class? they use martial arts and yet they can still dominate the field"
"They had the stats to compensate what they're lacking, and that is because of their class... you on the other hand is an assassin not a striker"
With those words, Lilia was silenced for a moment, before Kaido suddenly stances himself against her and prepared to attack. Based on how she understand Kaido, the latter wasn't joking at all. Even the system wasn't against Kaido's claim, so she had no choice but to see this through.
First off was a non-weapon/ability combat. Since Lilia was proficient in her respective martial arts, she was confident that she can topple Kaido who was mostly reliable on the usage of his Esper ability.
The moment Lilia stances herself and prepared for the spar fight, Kaido then suddenly rushed towards her in quick pace and did spinning back kick which caused Lilia to instinctively bend backwards to avoid getting hit to her face.
"Woah!!! Wtf!!!"
The attack was so fast, that Lilia was shocked by that sudden attack. The next thing she knew after stancing herself, was that her body instinctively moved and avoided Kaido quick attack from the front.
However Kaido's initial attack didn't end there. After Kaido missed his attack from his kick, he then quickly pulled down his leg as he slightly jumped into the air and kicked down Lilia towards her stomach, causing her to crash down to the ground. Afterwards he then ran up to her in quick succession, as he strike from above and attacked Lilia who was downed.
Unfortunately aside from Kaido's first attack, the following movements were quite noticeable as Lilia quickly recovered from crashing down and barely dodged the strike coming from Kaido. After she avoided getting hit, she then opened up her palm and struck out towards Kaido's open area with a palm strike and sent him for quite a distance away from her.
However the moment she tried to chain her attack after her palm strike with a kick of her own, she then noticed that Kaido was able to block her attack by using his other hand and had already prepared to counter her next move. But since her momentum was at an all time high, she was too late to change her course as Kaido avoided her kick to the side and countered back with a straight punch towards her back which shocked all her nervous system.
Following that, Kaido grabbed ahold of Lilia's collar as he tossed her over his shoulder and slammed her straight towards the ground in front of him face first.
After getting thrown down, Lilia finally snapped out of her shocked state, as she grits her teeth and stood back up in retaliation. But before she could stood back up0, Kaido mercilessly kicked her to the face, causing Lilia to be blown back and crash back to the ground. But due to her body's dexterity, Lilia's nose was spared from being broken by an ordinary attack and only caused her to be bruised.
"the face? Why the face? That's foul"
"Huh?!?! It's not my fault you charged face first"
"What do you expect me to do? charge backwards?"
After saying that, Lilia proceeded to dodged all of Kaido attacks as she carefully reads his movement before proceeding to tackle him down with her own prowess. Despite Kaido's abundant battle experience, Lilia was still far above him in terms of combat prowess due to her learning some martial arts for combat.
So after dealing with Kaido's random attacks, she then found an opening to slip herself into it and deliver a quick succession of punches which caused Kaido to be blown back by a couple of steps from his spot. And just as he was about to recover, Lilia quickly jumped unto him, locked his head between her thighs, and there him over using her own legs.
Afterwards she catches up to him mid crash and did a quick combo of kicks she learned during her practice of taekwondo.
No matter how much Kaido attacks, his attacks were parried away by Lilia's maneuver before being hammered down to the ground and ended with a kick straight towards his chest which sent him flying and coughing.
"Looks like your not much without that annoying barrier of yours"
"Yeah, yeah! whatever!"
As Kaido feints his recovery, he then strikes out a punch towards her in a surprising manner, in an attempt to catch her off guard. Unfortunately Lilia saw through his feint and quickly did a split to the ground to avoid the attack, as she quickly lifted her lower body, and kicked him straight towards his chin
"Gufuh!!!"
That kick literally stunned Kaido as he felt the strike shook his view of the world. Without the protection of his abilities, Kaido was no different from a street thug who is going against a martial artist.
After taking a few steps back, Kaido stabilized himself as he glared back towards Lilia.
"What?" asked by Lilia
"... Nothing"
After a few rounds against her, Kaido was literally owned as Lilia's attack kept getting sharper per round to the point that he cant even fight back. Because of that, out of 6 rounds, Lilia had won them all in a landslide.
With that done, it was time to step up the game towards combat with skills and ability's.
"Lets move on..."
But before Kaido could convey his thoughts, Lilia then intervened in between.
"Wait!"
"???"
"I want to hear it..."
"... Hear what?"
"I did good didn't i? the combat battle... based on the performance alone, I'm pretty sure that i was about a step higher than you in terms of level"
"... Well that is a given, after all I'm fighting in an unorthodox manner, however you on the other hand is fighting in a set of skills and combo like a trained unit... it would be weird if you cant have an up on me despite your privilege"
"Cant you just give a simple compliment for once?"
"No can do, after all at most compliments always gets unto one's ego"
After hearing that, Lilia then once more interrupted.
"Well as you can see, I'm much more better than you in hand to hand combat, doesn't that imply i don't need training at all?"
When Kaido heard that, he then picked up an iron rod from the stack and held it evenly in front of him before replying back.
"... This a is not just a matter of training... I'm giving you experience... I'm giving you experience on what happens when a hostile person actually attacks you"
"....."
"In comparison to monsters who attack in a set of movements, humans tend to think over their attack patterns before fighting... Humans learn to change and adapt... humans tend to enact strategy into their fight just to gain victory... its not a matter of knowledge and stats... its a matter of experience... that's what I'm giving you"
".... I see"
In that moment Kaido dashed towards Lilia in incredible speed as he slashed down his iron rod with an intent to actually kill her right on the spot. Because of Kaido's overflowing killing intent, Lilia's survival instincts quickly kicks in as she instantly took a step backward before unsheathing her dagger and knife while parrying Kaido's follow up swing.
After taking a considerable distance away from him, Lilia then started to suddenly sweat from the pressure that Kaido was emitting as she felt her hands tremble from the shock she received from Kaido's attack. For some absolutely no reason at all, Kaido seemed to surpassed her in strength for a few moments and somewhat were able to actually make her feel in danger.
For a fact this was the first time she felt this type of pressure coming from Kaido, a pressure that was filled with an intent to kill.
After all the first time she fought Kaido, such pressure was non-existent thought their initial battle due to the fact that Kaido's aim was to gather information of the world. Because of that he has no choice but to greatly hold back his strength in order to avoid the very fabric of this space to be destroyed.
Kaido was just that powerful of a person, a type of strong person who can control the very matter itself and even recreate a scene of a Jurassic apocalypse. This time with nothing to hold him back, Kaido seemed to let loose a little in order to make Lilia earn some experience.
Without any further conversation, Kaido rushed in once more as he raised up his iron rod into the air and imbued lightning element across its surface through the application of his matter manipulation. In response to this, Lilia raised up her dagger and knife into the air and planted her foot unto the ground with an intent to block the attack.
However before Kaido's iron rod could collide with Lilia's weapons, the electricity around the surface of the rod then suddenly coursed down towards Kaido's body. which gave him opportunity to enact a feint and zip right behind Lilia herself.
Empowering the rod once more, Kaido smacked her away with a hit to her sides, as Lilia came crushing towards a steel pole, before come tumbling down to the ground. Everything happened in just a matter of few seconds, it was too fast, he eyes couldn't even follow up such speed.
Even if she feels the attack coming, the mere speed of such attack rendered her completely defenseless on such a feint. One thing she was just defending an attack, the next thing she knows is that when she will be sent flying
After Lilia slowly recovered herself, Kaido then pointed out her wrongs in that short exchange.
"You made the wrong choice the moment you decided to block that attack with both arms... due to the fact that both of your arms were occupied, your body was then left unprotected which gave an opening for any feints and sudden intervention in between"
"...."
"In case your fighting a monster, your choice to block my attack would have killed you if your up against a skilled human fighter... you've gotta improve that"
With that before she could even refute Kaido's words, the person himself suddenly charged once more as he swung his iron rod forcing Leila to suddenly choose to dodge his rapid attacks instead of blocking it.
After dodging Kiado's 8th attack, Leila then blocked one of his swing with her knife, while thrusting out a stab with her dagger on another hand. However Kaido simply erected out a psychic barrier on his body which blocked Leila's stab, before countering with a reverse circle swing and force Leila to roll away from that swing..
But the moment Leila recovered from her roll, Kaido quickly kicked her away on the back which sent her tumbling once more, before sending a ball of fire towards her direction. Upon seeing that attack, Leila quickly hid behind a wall after tumbling to defend herself from the ball of flame, before throwing in a knife for distraction.
Just as she intended because of that knife thrown at hi8m, Kaido's attention was distracted for a moment, which gave leeway for Lilia to sneak out of her cover and close in the distance between them once more.
Taking the high ground advantage, Lilia jumped into the air as she strike down a slash from above coupled with her skills intended for a 1 shot 1 kill.
"Critical Strike!!!"
However such an attack was still not enough to penetrate through Kaido's barrier, so when the person himself begun shooting out flames from above, Lilia quickly got to the ground far faster than his attack and begun rapidly attacking the barrier with multiple attacks aiming for his lethal area.
Unfortunately none of her attacks work against the barrier. So without further ado, she quickly pulled a distance in between them as she plan to enact another method to get through Kaido's defenses.
