As two battle goes off in a huge scale Belial on the other hand was facing against Goenji who had an esper trait like ability similar to an angel
For a second Belial himself wanted to laugh at this awkward situation, after all who would've predicted that in the end his opponent would no other be than an angel, following that he is an archdemon himself
The only thing missing in this huge picture of his is the highest ranking among the angels, the archangel
It really felt like some twisted religious destiny had twingled him in into this
After observing his surroundings, Belial then realized that both of his sides begun to fight agaisnt each other
With Aileene as an exception, the other calamity class beings were still laying low after being hit by that huge explosion, nevertheless he really don't need any help when dealing with his natural enemy
With that thought in mind he then crossed his arms over his chest and begun speaking towards Goenji who had its angel wings spread out, seemingly trying to intimidate him through showing his magnificence of some sort
"So your my opponent? Well... well I never really expected an angel to actually dare fight me, but I've gotta say this is some kind of awkward encounter" said Belial
Hearing that Goenji then replied
"Awkward? Why would be awkward to you? In fact your lucky since I'm kind of a good person, thus I wanted to spare you"
"Spare me? You can give that to the other guys... you don't have to waste your energy on trying to spare me, let me assure you it will be useless" replied Belial
"... I never really expected to see a person to chose suffering than being spared by it, are you really that confident on your skill?" Asked Goenji as he continued to flap his angelic wings
"... speaking of confident, you can say that I am, in fact no one would've have fear me nor kneel before me if they didn't know how fearsome I am" answered Belial
"Such pride... even though pride is one of the seven sins of humanity, it is still embedded unto us in every generation, it is what we hold most... but yours... your pride is really off the roof, do you think I would go easy on you?" Asked Goenji
"Please i don't want you going easy on me! I prefer you going all out though" answered Belial
Hearing his answer Goenji then smiled swrly as he flick his wrist and conjured a light spear by his hand
Since his esper trait was that of a real angel, it is natural that he would also have its abilities to go with his form
With that Goenji stretches out his body as he aimed his spear towards Belial, before throwing it towards him in a speed much faster than the naked eye
Unfortunately such an attack was still meaningless before Belial as he spreads out his demonic wings and used it to block the spear of light that Goenji conjured
Upon collision a huge explosion then rung out towards the surroundings as smoke and rocks flew all over the place, nevertheless Belial himself was unscathed by such an attack
As the smoke cleared, shocked could be seen on the expression of Goenji as he stared before the demonic wings of Belial
But despite that shock, he was even more excited for this fight since he have read many books depicting the epic battle between an angel and a demon, now however he finally found his traits mortal enemy
With a smile on his face Goenji then called out towards Belial
"A demon trait esper ability, i see... no wonder you said that I should go all out, so this is what you meant... no wonder... if I was placed on your situation, it would've been obvious that i would do the same thing of what you did"
Hearing his words, Belial then tilted his head as he suddenly muttered
"I don't know what part your pointing out, but if your satisfied with your reasoning, then so be it"
With an excited expression Goenji then raised up his angelic wings and flapped it down so hard, causing him to rocket towards Belial while wielding a light sword and a shield
Raising his conjured light sword, he then slashed it down towards Belial as shockwave spreads out around the area
Coincidentally Belial quickly flapped his demonic wings to dodge Goenji's strike
After that he then held out his right hand as he his claws erupted out from his fingers, before charging towards Goenji
When Belial thrusted down his claws, Goenji on the other hand raises his light sword beside him and blocked Belial's strike, once more another wave of shockwave then reverbrated out to the field
After both of them took some distance, both of them once more flapped their own wings as they rocketed forward and collide once more
With Belial's claws and Goenji's sword, both of them then kept exchanging attacks numerous times as each collision sparks shockwave which drew out the wind, causing the whole base to be even more a dangerous battlefield
After their 20th strike Goenji then raises his sword as he brandished it against his shield before striking down towards Belial
On the other hand Belial simply backed away sideways as the initial attack missed him by a few inch, after that with a flap of his demonic wings, he then disappeared before Goenji and appeared before his blindspot
With claws stretching out sharply he then thrusted it towards Goenji's abdomen, unfortunately due to his senses in fighting the latter actually took notice of this danger and blocked Belial's attack with his shield
Soon enough sparks flew out as the shape claws and tough shield clashed out against each other
Following that Goenji then swung his sword just in time to connect his attack, with that he successfully grazed Belial's cheek as blood splurged out from it
After taking some distance away Belial then stared towards Goenji as he brushed the blood away with his thumb
"You grazed me... I applaud for your effort on trying to strike me down" complimented Belial
"Why do I feel like that wasn't a compliment?" Asked Goenji towards himself
In that instant Belial zoomed through the air in a high-speed which even made Goenji quite dumbfounded
In fact he was so shocked as he saw Belial circling randomly all around him in a speed much faster than what he could see
For a thought he was at a loos on what to do as he kept looking all around him, trying to catch even a glimpse of Belial's trajectory as the latter's ricocheted all around him
But just as he was doing this, Belial once more took his blindspot as he thrusted his fist towards him
With a mutter he then begun mocking Goenji
"Too slow!"
Unable to react on time, all Goenji could see by then was Belial thrusting his fist towards his face
With a strike which reverbrated out everywhere, Goenji was then fling away as he crashed to ground and slammed against a sentry
Arching in pain Goenji then took a few steps forward slowly as he gritted his teeth in pain and felt the sore on his face, luckily he had his psychic barrier up, due to that the damage he recieved from that attack was greatly reduced
But before he could complain Belial then zoomed down towards him from behind and struck him down with his claws
With one strike of Belial's claws, Goenji's psychic barrier then immediately broke into pieces as the shockwave from that attack pained Goenji's back
But with a gritted teeth and a bloodshot eyes he then swung his light sword behind him, only to miss Belial's silhoutte
In actual fact Belial simply jumped over Goenji just in time to dodge the sword strike and landed right infront of him
Upon landing Belial then struck out a claws strike towards Goenji once more, this time however the latter took notice of this adrupt movement as he raised up his shield just in time to block Belial's attack
In one move Goenji was able to blocked such an attack coming from Belial as he tightly gripped unto his sword and plans to send out another strike, but before he could slash out his attack, Belial then immediately retracted his hand as he spun and kicked Goenji's shiled along with him away
Once more Goenji's then again crashed against the sentry with so much force that it made him nearly blank out
But as if that wasn't enough Belial quickly took some distance as mana started gathering unto the top of his palm
In no time at all a raging wave of dark mana spread out to the surroundings as Belial started to cast his spell
"Dark Anima!!!"
As a series of volley magic projectiles head straight towards Goenji, the person himself them raised up his shield for another round of trying to resist Belial's attack
In one collision the power emitted by such spell blasted Goenji off his feet due to the force and Impact it carried, but not soon after he was then bombarded completely by Belial's spell
No matter how much Goenji scream in pain, his voice would then be drowned by the series of explosion that erupted all around him
At the same time since Goenji's psychic barrier was down, he actually took the full brunt of the attack
Soon after as the explosion quietened down and the smoke clearing up, Belial could actually see Goenji laying om the floor and was slowly trying to get up
As he struggled to get up Goenji then muttered something
"Such speed and strength... hahaha... I've been had it haven't I? To think that I was actually brought down just like that"
As he said that Belial then appeared before him as the the archdemon himself actually looked down on him
"Your quite strong... I never expected you to actually deal with me that fast... "
Hearing that Belial then tilted his head as he replied in confusion
"Deal with you that fast? Isnt it because your weak? No wonder you didn't even last 5 minutes against me"
At that Goenji was struck dumb as he was completely speechless from Belial's words as he tried to get up
"But don't get too cocky! The fight has just been started, its not over yet"
In that instant Goenji once .one covered himself with his psychic barrier as he gritted his teeth and roared towards Belial
But before he could even stabilize his footing, Belial once more broke his psychic barrier with one strike from his claws and beheaded him cleanly with a back strike of his claws
All that happened in just a few moments that Goenji was actually unable to follow the flow of the event, next thing he knew his head was completely dismembered from his body
After feeling his head completely dismembered, he then realized Belial actually beheaded him, whats worse was that the strike have been so fast that his consciousness was still intact when he saw himself getting beheaded
With terror on his face Goenji wanted to scream, but his mouth wouldn't follow his thoughts
It felt like he was killed alive, which brought him terror and despair
After all based on scientific research, the scientist actually proved that even thought the head was dismembered from the body, its brain function and consciousness would still need time to process this flow of event which sometimes resulted to people still alive even though they were beheaded
With that fact proven Goenji was struckdumb by it as he felt his consciousness fading away
Not long after he completely died as the blood kept flowing out from his head, causing the brain to unable to support his consciousness
But as for Belial who saw Goenji slowly dying before him, he then scoffed at it as he suddenly remembered the hero who also gained the celestial race powers, which caused his angelic and majestic aura
Compared to Hibiki, this esper named Goenji was completely inferior in terms of everything
"Just a cheap knockoff of the deceased hero"
