This situation was chaotic above ground, people were dying on both sides, yet the elven side seemed to be overwhelmed, none of them could even get close to the demon vassal
Even if someone did get close they in turn would get killed immediately, luckily an elf assassin was able to stall him for the time being
But looking closely at the situation even the so called elf assassin of the foreign species, seemed to be Getting overwhelmed by Sirius strength
The Queen however was put in a more dangerous situation as one of the Bloodhounds managed to get to her, luckily her son managed to catch up to her to save her in time and immobilizing the enemy
Just as when everyone seemed to be stoic and didn't expect anything worse to happen than this, something unexpected actually occur
Not far from the castle grounds at one section of the open area beside the castle, an radioactive explosion suddenly blasted out of the ground as it lifted off the earth that was covering it and spread unevenly the explosion damage on all sides
Luckily due to high and unpredictable Mana and potential capacity of the world tree, the recently attack from the explosion only did minimal damage to it
When the explosion happened the whole battlefield became still and silent as something out of their expectations to happen
The elves and the other forest creature have a grim look of danger and despair, while the vampires seemed elated as the did a major damage to the enemies prided tree
Even the Queen Vivian and the Elf Hero Elijah seemed stunned for a moment, of course since they were stunned, it is not much to say that Melfina must be stunned too
As Elijah gazed at the huge hole that the explosion blasted open and as the heat residue permeated his skin, Zavkiel his system suddenly warned him unceasingly about danger
As soon as he heard that all hairs suddenly stood up on Elijah as he slowly but surely step back foot by foot away from the hole
From the pile of rubble Zia who has just pushed the boulder out of the way managed to assist Ingrid right away as she gave her healing potion that she saved during emergency crisis
When she fed her the potion, Ingrid's complexion suddenly turned for the better as she slowly regained her consciousness
Slowly she lifted her head then her body as she confirmed the current situation, of course she was surprised by the destruction
At first they were inside the castle but now one part of the castle got blown away
"What... . ."
But before she could finish her question, Zia hurriedly covered her mouth as she saw movements from the corner of her sight
Just as expected two of the Bloodhounds managed to survive the unknown explosion as they clearly stood up all healed all over
"Phew! That's one hell of an explosion" exclaimed Hexo
"Well it came really in an unexpected moment" replied Quintian
"But still that blast... . .did it came from outside? I feel like it originated outside" stated Hexo
"Your not wrong, I even thought of that possibility" replied Quintian
Just as they were conversing on such possibility, their danger sense suddenly reacted as they quickly gazed at the giant hole in the ground that wasn't there before
As for an ordinary elf maid even Zia felt the tremendous pressure coming from the whole as if she's looking at an abyss, of course Ingrid felt it too
But they didn't expect it that as they thought of that an a wooden globe suddenly surfaced beside them as it crumpled and showed Sui inside
As they assisted her, they in turn also asked her what happened
"Papa... . . He's awake, but... . .he's different, the next thing I know I was blasted away"
As soon as they heard that mixed feelings suddenly erupted from inside of them of receiving a news that Kaido was awake at the same time different
They didn't expect however that they would get to see this change upfront as they suddenly heard footsteps not too loud but not quite also to vibrate inside the hole
Due to the silenced battlefield all of them also heard the pitter patter of footsteps coming from the hole as if this footsteps were the countdown of their doom
Soon after just as everyone expected someone did came out of the hole, but surprisingly he wasn't even hurt, even thought he's clothes were all already ragged with damage
Of course everyone that knew him would immediately recognize the person walking out
"Kaido-sama!"
They all muttered under their breath, but soon their elated expression suddenly turned a full 180° as they realized that the current Kaido even though awake, has the eyes of a person who has lost the source of life
Like a person who lost meaning, of course those eyes were already familiar to the people who knew him as those eyes were similar to the time he was locked away in a research laboratory with no one to talk to nor friends, light, and etc.
The only thing that was accompanying him was the cold ground and walls, him and darkness himself
Soon they also realized that he was dragging along a burned body at his left hand as it somehow was still alive and tried to struggle with little movements like twitching and slow muttering
Just as Kaido arrived at the surface, for some reason the world was also celebrating the fact that he was awake is what he thought when suddenly the moment he stepped outside, rain that often happens poured down from above
As the rain fell of his face and body, Kaido felt refreshed for the first time in a few days
But nonetheless the Kaido from before could never be seen to the current one as he gazed at them and his surroundings
He knew his name, he knew that he was supposed to be inside the laboratory being experimented but somehow he doesn't recognize anyone here
He had no memory of the lab conducting vampire and elves experimentation so he was surprised to see one, especially the fact that he can see spirits and fairies was already surprise for him
At that he remembered the little girl that was somehow crying out to him, even though he felt some slight connection he didn't know where it came from
Upon seeing the girl from afar together with two girls which one has armor, while one is an elf in a maid outfit, he in turn involuntarily walked few steps towards them
"Kaido!"
"Kaido-sama!"
"Papa!"
As they cried out his name, his footsteps suddenly came to a halt as he gazed at them with an unchanging expression
"Who are you?"
That was the question that completely silenced the three girls as Kaido tilted his head and can't even recognize anyone of them
Soon after his arms seemed to be twitching as he realized that the burned vampire in his grasp was still alive
"So the little bat is still alive? Interesting"
As soon as he muttered that out, all of the Bloodhounds realized the person who was in his grasp as they all initiated bloodlust
"You bastard! Let her go!" Roared Hexo
"Move your hand away from her now!" Growled Quintian
"You let go now!" Stated Trisera who manged to regenerate herself during the silenced commotion
As they blurted that out Kaido held Quartir their comrade upfront with his grasp on her neck as he asked
"This bat? Sure why not"
When he said that they were stunned for a bit as they thought of him being optimistic and dumb for believing them, when suddenly something unexpected happened
Like a countdown a radioactive heat signiture suddenly rose inside of Kaido's body and slowly crawled into his hand as it suddenly erupted for another radioactive explosion that shook the ground
Instinctually the three bloodhounds blocked the incoming explosion using their magic as they rose their defences at the maximum degree
But as they did that, they witnessed Quartir screaming in agony as she slowly desintegrated into dust and was completely killed infront of them cause of the explosion
Next up a laugh can be heard.from the person who killed her
"Hahahahahaha! Request granted! You want me release her right? Then I released her from the shackles of this world" he said as he soon gazed menacingly at them with deadlike eyes
"She's free now, freed to the afterlife! Praise me you mere small fries!"
As he said that, rage boiled up from inside of the depth of their feelings as they actually got provoked and charged towards him
Seeing this expected reaction, kaido simply smirked at the situation as he stood still on one spot without even moving an inch from his position
With quick reaction he overtook their speed in a mn instant as he actually managed to divert their attack with a few push of their trajectory punch and managed to take a hold of Quintian's neck
After that using psychic energy he actually pushed Hexo away without lifting a foot at all, at the same time Trisera executed a surprise attack which came out from nowhere as she tried to blast Kaido away at close proximity
As she did that however as soon as the attack hits Kaido's body it actually spilt into half as it didn't even dealt any damage to him at all
After that opening his hands managed to slip past through the explosion and used it as a cover for him to take a hold of her neck too
When that happened only seconds have passed by when the elves and other creatures including the vampires noticed that the bloodhounds has made their move, but also only seconds he passed by when they realized that the three remaining bloodhounds were suppressed by one guy without even moving a foot at his place, such a thing was really unexplainable at all
Followed that Trisera once again repeatedly bombarded kaido up close right to his face but the psychic barrier however were unpertuded as they didn't even show a slight hints of breaking apart
At the same time Quintian tried to use her blood magic to make Kaido explode inside out, but this was soon realized ineffective as the latter actually isolated her breathing from the rest as he removed the oxygen that surrounds her, causing her to lose focus on Kaido and worry more about herself
As Kaido saw that they were struggling, another radioactive powering could be seen as the 5emperatire around them rose to a certain degree that even vampires would find it hard to survive
Without a though the radioactive explosion happened as it tore and burned both vampire's to ashes as they screamed for help to their surroundings
Soon after two bodies disintegrated to ashes with nothing left of them, causing only Hexo to be last bloodhound that is still living among their ranks
With a wicked smile, Kaido once again tried to provoke them
"Hahahahaha! Come at me! All of you! I'll make sure all of you will die here!"
As if that was the trigger one of the vampires among the crowd shouted which prompted the others to lounge at him with nothing to lose
"Kill him!!!!"
"Kill!!!"
"You'll pay human!!!"
With that the vampires that was scattered all over the kingdom, rushed in one location as they were determined that such existence needed to be killed before its too late
Upon seeing that Kaido once again smiled menacingly as he charged up once more and released a radioactive explosion for about 10 meters from him and completely killing anyone inside 9f that range
As another batch of vampires got killed more and more grew fiercer as they attacked him, but nonetheless they weren't idiots who wouldn't learn from their mistake
After sacrificing some Frontline vampires, the ones in the back suddenly shifted their attack pattern as they continously released spells after spells towards Kaido
Seeing this Kaido promptly injected a wave unto the ground causing it to crack and deform as rocks and earth suddenly erected from the surface causing it to look like claws coming out of the ground
This reformed earth however served for him as a cover for the spells that were sent to him
After completely blocking all of the attack from the army of vampires, with one fell swoop of his hand the composition of the risen earth suddenly changed from tangible to intangible object as it instantly like a snap turned to sand causing a tsunami of them to flow down among the ranks of them
Of course such tsunami of sand reached Sirius location as it actually assaulted him, but this in turn was used by Melfina as a cover to escape from him
As if this wasn't enough, the sea of sand that spreads out among the trees actually hardens completely trapping anything below it
As for the elves and others, with their quick perception they quickly gathered everyone that isn't on the enemies side and used emergency teleport back to the refugees area as they eracted a barrier which powered by all soldiers and creatures of the kingdom
Since their population was great the evacuated area actually filled almost three fourth of the kingdom leaving the remaining part completely at Kaido's mercy
It shall be noted that before the enemy siege initially started, the queen together with thousands of mage elf have bestowed to all citizens of the kingdom the ability to use emergency return teleportation in case they were on the brink of the defeat, of course they also applied such magic on Kaido's companions thus they were grateful
But all of this suddenly disappeared as they witnessed Kaido single handedly dealt with the vampire army
As he hardened the sand, he i turn again changed its composition to hardened lava in an instant before detonating them causing comtinous explosion to rung out
For a while the whole forest and kingdom was devastated as it continuously exploded that was comparable to an airbomb raid of earth
With this the enemy forces were completely at his mercy
Due to fear however Hexo the remaining bloodhound member went to the back and regrouped with Sirius who had escaped in time before the sand hardens and spectated upon the destruction brought by one human
Soon a smile crept up on his face as he thought of one possibility
After that the rain suddenly stopped, or more like everyone that survived the explosion witnessed something only God should supposed to do
Instead of saying the rain stopped, it should suffice to say that the raindrops stopped falling and now were hoveri g midair for everyone to see
Under Kaido command the raindrops which was supposedly to be harmless became a deadly weapon as they turned into an unceasingly water bullets that assaulted the enemy's army killing everything from it
As long as the rain doesn't stop, the attack naturally doesn't stop
Due to the high intense firing rate that spread all over, some of the raindrops actually passed through the barrier as they they infiltrated the elven side and ended up killing some of the soldiers and citizens within it
Surprisingly Sui reacted in time as she used her mana to enforce the barrier to stop the rise of accidental casualties
Seeing her bravely contending to block Kaido's attack made Ingrid feel like for certain Sui has grown up after experiencing such tragedy of her mother dying
Sure enough the only vampires that were still enough was reduced to mere fifty in just few moments
With this Sirius made his move so that he could ensure that they wouldn't be completely annihilated by the enemy
Of course Kaido took notice of his action as he concentrated the volley of attacks towards him with a slight twitch of his eye
Soon enough Sirius was continously pierced by water bullets causing him to bleed, but he still charged in as he was co finest to his regenerating capability
As he lounges at him sure enough Kaido saw this coming as he erected a barrier to repel him, as he did that Sirius once again held his position as he towered above him and delivered blow after blow on his barrier
But surly the barrier didn't budge at all
With no words applied but mere though the water suddenly transformed into serpent as it lounges at the vassal
But due to some interference of a coward bloodhound called Hexo, the attack was delayed for a bit, however Kaido didn't let up as he released another radioactive explosion that caught Sirius completely off guard
Surprisingly Sirius held his ground as he didn't back away and took the explosion on with his body
Surely through the gaps of his defences Sirius suddenly used some magic to completely knocked Kaido out causing him to unable to continue at all
"Sleep hypnosis!"
Like a charm Kaido who didn't expect a mental attack, was completely overtaken as he muttered before losing consciousness again
"You... . . I'll remember you... . ."
In a swift Kaido was immediately held out by Sirius as he immediately gave out his order
"Retreat! Everyone retreat!"
With his telepathic communication, Sirius opened up a huge portal for the remaining vampire as he turned around and gave the stunned elves a farewell message especially to the people who knew the guy
"Looks like I caught a bigger fish this time my Queen, so for now your safe, but in return ill have this for now, I'll return him after I shaped him up a bit"
With that farewell Sirius disappeared through the portal while dragging the body of Kaido who was once again unconscious due to mental assault
With that the curtains for the elves have closed while it opened for another tragedy that will shake the world in the near future

Congratulations for finishing one of the smallest volume of the story, but surely in the next part, Is something crucial to all as everything will be decided in this Volume
After all this is the longest volume that will be in this arc as it included not only the travel of the mc, but also the war that will surely erupt on all nation
Well the word longest arc is surely up to me on how I flesh out the events, but I'll try to stall as much
