[Grand Kingdom]
~Few Minutes Earlier~
As both Anna and Melfina have gone to their own position, the only key for this operation to succeed was to successfully lure the attention of the whole Kingdom to believe that they were being attacked by the enemy
Simply Kaido was the one in charge of such task, on that note all Kaido have to do was to create a large commotion that will attract the Kingdom, by doing so means that he'll have to make it as flashy as possible
Donned on his hooded cloak from head to toe, he slowly approached the bustling street of the city
There are actually three places he could choose, when choosing the places filled with people
Namely the market area, entertainment area, and the entrance area, after pondering for the location, Kaido eventually chose the third option as it's location could give him advantage on this fight as the enemy couldn't sneak up behind him
To further increase the success rate of this operation, Kaido himself started shutting everything around him, and focuses all his attention on creating the biggest commotion he could do
In fact he kept the biggest priority of getting the girls outside the city while he kept the hero busy
When he arrived at the inside the Kingdom's entrance on the north, he was quite at an awe as he saw people with furry ears and unique traits of species such as skin, ears, and tails roam about going their daily life
He even almost see them as people, for some time he even saw children and innocent bypasser talk happily
Parents with their children, people with their friends, young women with their lovers, species roaming happily as they fulfill their day in order to survive, all those bright smiles and happy atmosphere, greatly affected Kaido as he knew that he will soon destroy their once happy life the moment he started doing what he needed to do, causing the guilt to accumulate
But in order for his own companions to succeed he has to do it anyways, no matter what it takes
As he thought of this in a single spot, he suddenly turned his head in front of him, only to be surprised as his eyes suddenly widened from seeing a guy infront of him
The guy at the same age as him was wearing a white shirt and pants which is the same outfit that he wore when he was in the scientist hands back in his world, his skin a bit light brown with his black hair looming above his face as it frown
No matter how Kaido denied it the guy actually came from the depths of his dark memories, he doesn't even know how it could manifest infront of him, but one thing for sure Kaido was actually taken aback by this as his whole body quiver
Soon the guy suddenly talked like a whisper but nevertheless he still could hear him clearly
"Your going to kill again? Hah! As expected that's what your good at, you couldn't protect her, nor can you control yourself... . . You don't deserve everything, just why? Why you not me?... . . I should've never befriended you, you were never one of us"
After hearing this as if the whole whole suddenly gone silent, Kaido eventually caught a glimpse of the past his trying to bury back to his deepest darkest memory, a memory he doesn't want to remember again
But after the last words the guy muttered, he suddenly held his head as if he tries to get rid of his hearing, he never wanted to hear it again for his life, he wanted everything to disappear, he wanted to go on without minding his past, and in order to do that he need to get rid of the person immediately
Eventually he directed all his rage, hatred sorrow, and guilt of his past directly at the hero, as if he wanted a reason for bringing up his past
As he shuts everything up, he decided that everything around him was already inconsistent, all of them were nothing, all of them are dead corpses whether their innocent or not, young or old, their all inconsistent
For that he raises his right foot up and slammed the ground beneath him causing seismic fissures to burst out from the ground below him by three layers as it explodes everything around him for about 15km, and bringing everything to destruction on its radius
As the ground cracked, burst, exploded, and sink everything around his perimeter for about 15km whether their houses, pubs, entertainment buildings, warehouses, or children's place, everything was destroyed to a degree that it sunk into the ground, crumpled and destroyed
As for the patrolling soldiers, and innocent civilians, anyone that was unlucky to not be buried by rubbles were probably dead, the only people that managed to survive are those that fell on top of the rubbles but for the others, they were unlucky to be buried without knowing how they died
Soon out from those cracks of the debris, blood flowed out from it as it indicated that most civilians were buried beneath those rubbled, which further depicts that all of those beneath them were dead
As the panic arises and people shouting and screaming for help, such commotions soon reached the higher ups of the kingdom as they ordered the knights, and soldiers of their troops including the military to apprehend the person responsible for this disaster
They didn't expect such a drastic attack at all, what's more unbelievable was that according from the report, the perpetrator of this destruction however was none other than a single person found in the middle of the destruction laughing by himself
Xyrus as one of the most talented magician of his age, stepped up above the castle walls and gazed upon the direction where smoke arises, he himself really wanted to engage the enemy, but due to some retraints and obstructions he couldn't let the innocent civilians to be involved in this operation
With a single command from him he ordered a team to mobilize a troop to ease the civilians of their worry and evacuate everyone around that district towards a other place to secure their safety
"Damn it! What's happening? Who is actually foolish enough to attack us? What's more he actually involved innocent civilians! He'll pay for what he'd done with his own blood" grumbled Xyrus
Back at Kaido's position, he actually was laughing hysterically to forego his previous vision from his past, he let everything out as if venting all of his frustration to anyone around his radius
"Ha... . . Haha... . . Ahahahahaha! Damn it! I can't get it out of my head!!! This is all his fault! That damn hero made me remember everything... . . No! Not only him... . . Everything around him made me remember it!... . . I know! I just need to destroy everything, I'll turn upside down, maybe with that I can atleast have a peace of mind"
As he mumbled about this, he suddenly heard footsteps coming from three different directions infront of him as it informed him about the arrival of the kingdoms troops
Nevertheless he concluded that they were here either for him or the people that survived
After walking forward he suddenly stopped in front of a struggling Beastman as he cried and crawled on his belly just trying to survive
"I don't want to die! Not yet! Help me! Anyone! I haven't seen my daughter get married yet! I don't want to die!!!" Mumbled by that person
Apparently that particular person was about to be in his old age as he struggled to live another day with his lower actually being crippled
But nonetheless this has nothing to do with him at all, so without a thought he stepped on the old man's head carefully who was bawling in fear and begging for his life when suddenly soldiers and mages adruptly came to its rescue
"You there! Get away from that man! Or else we have no choice but to kill you!!! You got only at the count of three!!! One!... . . Two... . . Thr... . ."
Apparently before the soldier could finish his count, Kaido eventually produced a high frequency vibration from the condensing of wind attribute around his feet that was stepping on the old man's head
Without a thought he eventually smashed the old man's head without any remorse as he himself continued the count with a evil smile plastered on his face
"Three"
As if that was the trigger, the soldiers and mages flew into rage after witnessing their kinsmen being killed right infront of them
"Kill him! No mercy! Turn him into dust!!!"
"Charge!!!"
"Mages pour all your attacks now!"
As the soldiers rushed inside his range with their swords held up and their mages casting their spells towards him, the person himself begun to laugh at this sight as he spreads his hands out releasing countless wind blades from all direction
One wind blades was equivalent to a very sharp knife cutting everything in its paths, so in turn as this was released in all directions, it soon killed every approaching knights and unprepared mages from it's surroundings
Unlike the first attack this move has no range at all as it bisects the soldiers and mages around it and even slice the buildings in it's direction
This act in turn further Increases the already mortifying destruction on the capital, killing more people along with it
But it didn't stop there as for those who managed to survive, Kaido raises both of his hand in the air as it produced flames on his palms
As he clenched his fist, he furiously slammed it against the ground creating a shockwaves of heat and flames burning everything in his radius
Without mercy, he turned every corpses and survivors around him into burned charcoal, while at the same time burning every burnable object around him, turning about 15km around him into a living hell
As the particular district started burning non-stop, Xyrus immediately directed some of the troops to be stationed at the front on his predicted en route and starts to set up some traps for him, this time he even included some of its high ranking soldiers among the members to further alleviate the burden of those ordinary soldiers
As mages filled the roofs of the building and soldiers with their swords and guns made by their blacksmiths and designed by their hero filled the streets, they intently and bravely waited for their attacker to appear amidst the destruction
As they waited however, the wind blew hard against them as it turned into chilly cold wind, not sooner than later the sky eventually dimmed, as the clouds thickens turning it into a black clouds which indicates rain and as thunder rolled along the black clouds
Right out of nowhere six tail like winds climbed down from above, which greatly surprised not only the troops but also Xyrus himself out of their wits end
Soon they had a clear image of these tail like winds that were climbing down from above, apparently these tail like winds was actually six tornadoes manifesting from above the position of the stationed troops
As if foreboding the destruction, Xyrus immediately held out a command of retreat from the frontlines, but unexpectedly everything was already too late as the six tornadoes hits the ground completely disrupting the formation of the troops
Some were lifted off while some were struggling to keep themselves pinned to the ground
But this didn't stop the perpetrator at all from bypassing the tornadoes as if protecting him
Holding his hand upwards to the sky the six tornadoes around him suddenly merge into one huge whirlwind making Kaido as the epicenter of the storm
Soon as bolts of lightning and wind created friction against each other, a sudden plasma ball from all that accumulated energy converged above him
This time he raises both of his hands in a clenching position as he suddenly ripped the wind apart creating a electrical storm to explode and destroy everything in its path
Due to this attack the house was lifted off the ground including the troops, even the pavement that was plastered was no exceptions from this
Rocks were cracking, wind was violently destroying everything, lightning was killing everything that got lifted up, this scene was really depicting something similar to end of the world scene if the nature herself has gone haywire
But it didn't stop there the radius of the lightning storm was not stopping at all, it eventually reached about 80km in approximate distance from it's epicenter as it continues to spread
To counter this Xyrus directed every personnel mages with high Mana to form a Barrier of high class spell
As the barrier was set up to a complete defense to defend the castle, a silhoutte suddenly appeared outside of the barrier as it condensed the lightning storm into his arm completely stopping it's advance and instead converge into one focal point
As that happened the Storm eventually disappeared as all of its energy condensed on the arm of the person out side the barrier
With a step forward Kaido punched the barrier with all he got as the converged lightning storm in his arm collided against the barrier in a single focal point which further Increases it's penetrating power
This collision soon produced immense shockwaves as both sides didn't falter at all, with one defending and another attacking, not even one among the both sides falter as they each poured all their strength into countering each other
After a few moment a huge uprising explosion ruptured between two opposition, with the converged storm disappearing while the barrier was still standing, the whole mage corps was further enlightened from their success of defending from the attack
As they were celebrating about this fact a crack suddenly appeared from the barrier as it continued to spread throughout the rest of it
With a laugh Kaido sneered against the mage corps as he pointed something above him
At this time a world class spell passed above him in blue hue and instense heat as it easily destroyed the damaged Barrier and further destroyed the multilayered defensive spell of the castle
eventually it struck the upperpart of it completely blowing it's top into smithereens, which was in the direction of the Hero's room
With this turn of event as if the whole world was suddenly silenced from this development, another world class spell makes its entrance as it slowly changed the temperature of the world itself
