As Sect Leader Feng Tianlong stepped into the hidden chamber, he saw his family waiting: his wise grandfather, Feng Jianguo; his father, Feng Haoran; and his mother, Lady Mei Ling.
They stood near a softly glowing relic, their faces lit by the dim blue light.
Feng Tianlong bowed towards them and said :"Grandfather, Father, Mother, thank you for meeting with me."
Feng Jianguo nodded and said:
"Tianlong, it's good you came. We need to talk about this engagement you arranged for Yuxin with the Yun family. There are risks involved."
Mei Ling voiced her worries: "Yes, Tianlong. Yun family might be strong, but the Yun family has ambitions. We must be careful."
Feng Haoran firmly said :"But an alliance with the Yun family strengthens our sect. The Yun family's influence in the central region is powerful. If they stand with us, it could mean great things for the Heavenly Thunder Sect."
Feng Tianlong nodding said:"I agree, Father. But I share some of Mother's concerns.
That's why I'm sending Ming Yue to the Yun family. Her healing skills are unmatched. Her presence there should show our goodwill and secure the alliance."
Feng Jianguo raising an eyebrow and said:
"So, Ming Yue will travel alone to the central region?"
Feng Tianlong: "Yes, Grandfather. Her healing skills are respected throughout the sect and beyond. The Yun family has requested her help, and she is willing to go."
Mei Ling frowning said: "But, Tianlong, the central region is far from our influence. Sending her alone, especially to the Yun family, could be dangerous."
Feng Haoran nodding in agreement: "Your mother is right. The Yun family is not known for being trustworthy."
Feng Jianguo looked directly at his grandson, his gaze serious.
Feng Jianguo serious said:
"Tianlong, you must stay cautious. The Yun family may seem like allies, but if they decide to betray us, it could endanger not only Yuxin but also Ming Yue."
Feng Tianlong nodding :"I understand, Grandfather. That's why I'll make sure that Ming Yue has strong protection. And if anything seems wrong, I'll bring her back immediately."
Mei Ling placing a hand on her son's arm and said "Please, Tianlong, promise me you'll be careful. We don't know the Yun family's true intentions."
Feng Haoran: "Yes, Tianlong. We are strong, but they are powerful in their own right. Don't let the Yun family take advantage of our trust."
Feng Jianguo in a low, serious voice said: "Remember, an alliance can turn to betrayal quickly. Stay alert, Tianlong. If you sense any danger or hesitation from the Yun family, don't hesitate to pull Yuxin out of this engagement."
Feng Tianlong: "I understand. I'll make sure that Ming Yue is protected. She is skilled enough to care for herself, but I'll make it clear that our alliance depends on her safety. And I will watch the Yun family closely."
Feng Jianguo approving said:"Good. Let them know our terms. Make sure they understand that we won't tolerate any disrespect toward Ming Yue or Yuxin."
Lady Mei Ling:"Yes. Ming Yue and Yuxin's safety must come first, no matter what. The Yun family needs to know that we value our own above all."
Feng Haoran: "And make sure Ming Yue knows to be cautious as well. She may trust you, but the Yun family may see her as just a pawn in this alliance."
Feng Tianlong: "She knows. Ming Yue will be careful, and so will I. I will make sure the Yun family respects our boundaries."
Feng Jianguo took a deep breath, his gaze thoughtful.
Feng Jianguo: "Remember, Tianlong, this alliance may bring strength, but it also brings responsibility. Trust the Yun family, but only as much as necessary."
Feng Tianlong determined and said: "I understand, Grandfather. I will be cautious, and I will ensure that both Ming Yue and Yuxin are protected."
Mei Ling relieved said :"Good. You're making the right choice, Tianlong. But remember, family comes first."
Feng Haoran patting his son on the back : "Yes. We will support your decision. Just make sure that in the end, our family remains strong."
Feng Tianlong: "Thank you, all of you. I will do everything to protect our family and honor our sect. Yuxin's engagement, Ming Yue's journey—all of it will be watched carefully."
