"Who is this guy?" You hear yourself ask just before he reached your seat, luckily he didn't hear you.
You didn't know what the big deal about him was but you could tell some part of it was because he was amazingly handsome for just a m high school guy.
"Hello." He spoke friendly and calmly as he sat next to you, he locked eyes with you for a mere second just before you you felt a shocking pain next in the back of your neck.
You flinched at the short but stinging pain and rubbed your neck back, you could tell that he noticed since you didn't say hello back to him.
"I'm sorry, hi" you said still rubbing your neck, "it's nice to meet you."
"Obviously you're new," he said taking out a pair of glasses, they were t reading glasses, must be for style you thought. They looked good on him, he looked extra smart.
You looked around and spoke, "obviously," smiling shortly after you spoke, you could hear the other student neck turning to look in your direction as if something from the exorcist or something, they gasped and whispered to each other at the fact that you were talking to the guy next to you.
"I'm Ellie O'Kyle." You said as you took out a notebook from your yellow bag, a bag that you begged your mom to buy for you just to end up hating. *Karma is definitely your best friend.*
"Kim Namjoon." He said, you turned to look at him, thinking about his name, it sounds really familiar, you just can't place it. You tilted your head and erased it from your mind, doesn't matter is what you thought.
"Where are you from?" He asked, attentively coping down the notes that the teacher had on the board.
"America." You said, doing the same thing, you were surprised at the conversation you were having with him, it shocked you, since you weren't the social type.
"It's my first time at a school in Korea," you spoke again, "it might take a bit of a little adjustment." You both chuckled quietly, but loud enough for the students next to your rest to hear your conversation, they kept looking at you for some reason.
Namjoon noticed and told you, "once I'm gone from beside you, it'll be a much better experience," he said looking at the students next door and back to you, "trust me."
From there on, you sat there in silence not knowing what to talk about, the teacher wasn't doing or saying anything, he just sat behind his desk with a thick book. Told you, you weren't the social type.
"Good luck with your high school experience." You heard Namjoon's voice invading the silence, "it was nice meeting you." He said just before walking out.
"Wait but the class isn't over ye-" you stopped speaking when he was half way out the door already, there were two tall men waiting for him outside the door, dressed in full black from head to toe.
You wanted to turn ask the other student if they knew why he was leaving so early but hiding from the looks they gave earlier, you didn't want to over step.
*3:20 PM*
Finally you concluded your first day of your new school. It wasn't bad, mostly boring of your exclude your first period, which was mostly confusing.
You had to walk since your mom was working extra late today, she made sure to text you and told you that she left the key in the mail box on the porch.
"I think I'll walk today." You told yourself, you already knew the way home since you already came to the school for registration, and you did t feel like being cooped up in a bus with a lot of people.
As you walked down the curvy road, you began to think about college and how you'll pay for it, usually people would say, "it's your mom who's supposed to pay for it" but you didn't want your mom to work so many more shifts when you could easily find a job and help pay for things and save up for college.
Half way home you saw a big poster advertising and management job, ages 18 and up for a BigHit entertainment company, you've never heard of it before but it's an easy shot, why not take it.
As soon as you went home you didn't even bother taking off your uniform, you pulled out your computer and searched up the company, went on it's website and notice their opening spot for a new manager, you silently read more about it, it was supposedly for a boy group called, BTS, Bangtan Sonyeondan.
"This can't be real?" You said when you noticed the amount of money they are willing to pay, 3 million won, that's more than 2,000 American dollars.
Why is the pay so much? It'll probably be too hard for me to get the job them. You kept thinking, but you could not let it stop you from helping your mom and securing your future, this could hell a lot with finances which means less work for your mom.
Your eyes blinked wide opened when you saw the requirements for the job. "Live-In management services." You worded it word for word, thinking this is too impossible, you have the age thing down, but are you willing to live with a group of guys just for 3 million won? What will your mom think?
"Ahhghgh," you flopped down on the bed beside your laptop, seeing the big red APLLY button on the screen.
"Doesn't matter, I have to pay for college," you spoke to yourself while clicking that button.
*20 minutes later*
You're ere done with the online application, but you also noticed that another requirement was for you to send a video recording of yourself, as if it was an Interview, telling them all about yourself and why you want the job.
"Should I be doing this?" You asked yourself as you got ready to film yourself on your tripod that your mom bought you for your birthday. It was the only thing you asked for.
You pushed away your thoughts and began filming, it took a while since you wanted it to be sincere and truthful, you wanted to impress them since there were probably more qualified people out there for this job.
Once you ended the filming you attached the file to the computer and sent it in.
You couldn't believe how nervous you were, wondering if this will be the right decision, you don't even know the guys you'll be living with If you do get the job.
After sending in the video, you got an email saying that you'll hear back from the company in about two days time. Word for word is, "We the staff of BigHit Entertainment will review your application and thoroughly discuss your status, if we have accepted you into our company as the new manager of BTS please make all the necessary arrangements for your arrival. Please look towards hearing back from us. Have a splendid day -BigHit Entertainment."
Good that's good, they won't rush it, you thought as you sat worriedly one your bed clenching your fingers into a tight fist.
We'll see.
