Chapter 1 - prologue

I'm not your average human, I have the ears of a fox, the eyes of a cat, and my piercing

grey eyes always give a particular glare to my features. They call me Wisty, and by they I mean

our leader and anyone who hates me. I live on an earth like you, but my world has become the

war grounds for demons. I know you must be thinking that there is no possible way any of us

could be taken over by beast with horns of brimstone, or men with 'devilish' good looks, but I

am from the future, and let me tell you it is true.

Don't take it from me, take it from this, what I am about to tell you, comes from my

experience and the experiences of the world I live in. The world of superficial electronics, long

unforgiving journeys, and sad meetings cut short. The world that will drive even the sanest,

insane.

Our story begins in the city of Denmark, one of the sixteen remaining cities on the

northern side of the united states the only way to get there is by train. Call me crazy but all the

planes had a major crashdown near Boston, on January 1st, 3030. The last two remaining modes

of transport, are by car or train… the train is easier if you don't want to be eaten alive by

monsters ranging from four to eight feet long, covered in blood and mucus and smells of rotten

flesh… me personally, without my sense of smell, ignorance of the law, and my hatred for the

advanced technology, would choose the train. It isn't pretty either way.

Lets just say you'd love the world if you were a computer nerd. Tech in our eyes, chips to

do your accounting, phones so big you could call it an ipad. The only way to achieve these

things is to worship the main leader, we call him Echo, but all he is is a fat, glamored, horned,

demonic, ageless man who lives and is practically worshiped. My dad and I, we lead a band of

christian outlaws, waiting to bring an uprising that'll change the world forever.
