Chapter 48 - Careful

All the walking made Yang Jie's stomach let out a low growl indicating that it was time it was fed and so the people were told it was time to go to the reception, which was happening by a river behind the church. The guest's were led away to the back of the church to where the reception was, but before that as per tradition the bride had to throw the bouquet from the opposite direction she was facing.

Yang Jie did just that, and when she had just thrown the flowers, even before a smile could form on her lips, she had the sound of a slap land heavily on someone's cheeks, and another and another.

Yang Jie could not believe her eyes when she turned around and saw her mother's hand midair, with her whole body shaking and one would just know that she used a lot of strength to deliver that slap. Her mother was always a soft spoken woman, she was one lady that she could swear on her life, that she could not hurt even a fly.
