On the way to the palace, I went to my father's carriage and have learned about my parents' history. Though my mother is his mistress, she was most loved by my father. Because of that, his wife was jealous and almost kill her. Father explained to me that he had no choice to sent my mother away to safety. I was happy to know how much my mother is loved by my father. I also learned that there is magic in this world. He told me that when we get to the palace, I will do a magic aptitude test.
A few hours later, we arrived to the Royal Palace. My father held my hands and told me it's okay. Thinking that I'm safe with him, the door opened. Maids and butlers stood and bowed before us, ceilings and floors sparkling clean... I was fascinated and smiled brightly. A woman voiced, "Are you back, dear. By the way, who is that young lady you're holding on to?" The woman glared at me and chills ran down my spine. My father exclaimed, "This is my daughter, Alicia Ross. She is the daughter of Cynthia Brown. She will be living here now, as the part of the royal family. I won't let anything happen to her from now on." The woman talked back at him, saying "There is no need for a mistress's daughter to live here." Father ignored her and the woman went mad. As we walked to a big room, my father apologized me for the inconvenience. I forgave him saying that he's not the one at fault.
In the big room, there is a orb on the cushion. He tells me to touch it to take the magic aptitude test. There are six attributes of magic: Fire, Wind, Water, Earth, Light, Darkness. I listened to my father and touched it. The orb shined, displaying five different colors: red, green, blue, brown, yellow, black. My father felt happy for me being able to use all attributes of magic. He says, "You will begin your studies and magic training." I was thrilled, knowing that my father is on my side. Night fell, my father told me I could sleep in my mother's room. My father took me to a tall tower. I looked inside and saw that it's clean. Though it looked cramped, it was enough for me to stay. I was happy because I'm still not used to extravagant or fancy rooms. My father told me, "Good Night and Sweet Dreams Tonight" and left. I also send the same message back to him. I was tired for the whole day and fell asleep.
