The next morning she was preparing for her take off when suddenly she felt a pain inside her heart.
This past few days she felt her body a bit heavy and her dreams turned into vague.
It was unexplainable.
She prepared everything she might needed. It is part of their job to purchase gadgets agents usually use for operations. Nothing to worry if Eri is alone. She's used to it. Actually she undergone martial arts in case troubles might occur.
"You ready to take off, Professor Eri?" The pilot asked her. Ready to pull her from the helicopter.
"Yeah." She shouted. The wind is so strong. Their mission is a private. So they used helicopters to anticipate individuals who might intrigue to their mission.
Eri pulled the parachute.
"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..." And the pilot flew away.
She is using a compass to locate the Mayan's. Suddenly when a bird distracted her when her take off is about to board.
She jumped into a dark hole.
"Why is the world so rude to me!" She yelled.
Her voice echoed in every corner of the hole. Even the birds heard her voice. The place was totally uninhabited for thousands of years. The trees were gigantic as if it is a home of legendary beasts.
The hole is a 15 feet deep and surrounded by darkness.
She turned on the flashlight and lit the place.
She was astounded what her eyes witnessed!
In the darkness, thousands of bones arrayed as if thousand years ago these were sacrificed in a ritual.
Eri examined the lines of the human bones.
"Are they sacrificed for a ritual?" She analytically touched every curves, lines and even the stones from all the corners of the hole.
"Wait. Is there any way out of here?" She searched for any clues.
"Seriously. I am really talking to myself? I must be crazy. Well I must be. I am in a place of nowhere." Eri continues to argue with herself.
"I thinik I should bury myself here too. And be one of these bodies. Then they might assumed that I am a noble body. Okay wait where should I put myself?" She placed herself in every corner of the cave as if she's prepare to die any moment.
One of her undeniable character is being sarcastic and humorous even in times of danger. But only her friend knows it.
Out of despair, she sat in a flat marble at the top.
"Did they really send me to die here?" Her tears suddenly dropped.
"Everyone treated me so unwanted. My parents even left me. I don't know. I even don't have a family. If the world wants me to die. Then I must grant their wish." She speaks so devastated.
Hours passed still she can't find her way out.
Until she lost her sense of time.
