After leaving my sister in the incubator, I saw her 'new' family rushing to get her. They all were so relieved that their daughter was fine.
It made me a bit guilty but I chose to leave things like that and ran out of the hospital.
The first thought that crossed my mind at that time was that I should probably leave the city.
I did not know the people who were after me but each and every one of them knew me and they were in this city.
Staying here was too dangerous, so with the little money I already had in my pocket I took a midnight bus out of the city.
I didn't care where it was going and I had no idea either.
All I cared about was getting out of there.
As the bus left the city, I relaxed a bit and soon started getting drowsy. Now that my mind felt safer and all the adrenaline was gone I laid down on both the seats while the mostly empty bus kept traveling.
As a child I did not think anything worse could possibly happen.
