"Good morning, I'm Jing Ah the archaeologist. May I see the ancient artifacts?"
She bowed then ushered me inside, "This way please." she politely said.
We walked through the corridors and I noticed the ancient korean ambiance once I stepped inside the room.
'Ah, this is a sight to behold.' Some ancient painting were hanged in a wall, vases were also displayed in some corner of the house and fresh flowers scent flooded my nose. Then, the lady slide open a door.
My gaze then fell to a sword and I instantly stop in my track. It made me want to hold it and I'm certain that I've saw it before.
I was out of trance when someone tugged me behind, "Miss?"
"Ah! Sorry. May I know where'd you get that sword?" I asked shyly, embarrassed by my behavior earlier.
Her gazed then left mine and turned towards the said sword, "Ah, that's our family heirloom. It's called the Four Tiger Sword or Sa-In Geom. My grandfather used to tell me stories
that our family was in the line of generals and that the king had gifted this sword to our ancestor for his victory in a war between the neighboring countries that time."
I stepped forward to get a closer look. Now I finally remember where I saw this sword, I saw it on a national archaeology channel on our television.
I was really fascinated by its carvings. It is said that this sword was used to dispel evil energy and drive away bad luck as well as malicious spirits.
"Can I touch it?" I asked without breaking my eye contact with the sword.
"Hmm sure, just be careful with it." she said in a gentle tone
And I took this opportunity to touch the carvings on the sword, the fine texture and the detailed engraves showed that this sword is authentic. It was engraved with 28 stars that represent North, East, West, and South.
As I was so engrossed with the sword, a voice then echoed inside my mind. I looked behind only to see there was no one behind me. The lady was also nowhere to be found.
I suddenly shivered, few drops of sweat fall from my face. My body seems to move on it's own as it moves toward the sword and unsheathe it.
"Heaven grants power,
Earth fosters spirit,
Sun and Moon are as they are,
So are mountains and Rivers.
Banish great evils,
Cut with mysterious wisdom,
And set the world upright."
After I said those words, a sudden burst of light emerged from the sword then darkness engulfed my senses.
