Chapter 1 - Ch. 1 - Nervousness gets to the best of us

[Li Kang POV]

The girl couldn't stop trembling, face scrunched up in near tears and lips quivering, her legs giving out underneath her. She collapsed on the ground with her hands coming up shaking and covered her face. Her body was wracked with panic and anxiety. The staff were getting anxious, their emotions clearly displayed on their faces. Her manager helped her get up from the ground and they both slowly walked to her dressing room.

So troublesome. I can't believe that I, Li Kang, a devilishly handsome and extremely talented and also being one of the youngest and most amazing directors of all time, have to babysit a little girl and teach her a lesson every actor and actress should know when entering this dangerous world!

The manager exited the dressing room, a worried look etched on her face. It seems I'm going to need to put some fire to that spattering life of an actress.

I entered the dressing room, closing the door behind me. Walking up to the her sniffling sounds, I raised my left hand and slapped the girl. "What are you doing out there Aki? You're supposed to be a dignified, talented actress and here you are acting like a kicked puppy. This is why new people like you are so terrible at this job."

The room was quiet.

The girl was silent, a dark cast surrounding her. I didn't care about her feelings. She's an actress and therefore should act like one, not like this sappy, insecure, little girl.

"Huh? What did you just say?"

Huh? What did she just say? The girl suddenly changed moods, from looking scared to looking intimidating. What just happened?

Aki got up from her seat, looking more imposing by the minute.

"I'm sorry for causing a fuss, Mr. Li," she apologized while smiling and bowing her head. "I'll just get ready in a few minutes after the makeup artist arrives so we can then go outside and take the scene."

Half polite and seemingly half forceful, she led me out of her room. Confused and dazed, I slowly and later with more authority announced to the worried staff, "Don't worry. She'll be good in a minute and we can take the scene." And then, pointing to one of the makeup artists, ordered, "You. Go and help Ms. Aki with her makeup." The artist quickly scurried into the actress' room.

[Narrator POV]

The hustle continued as everyone finished the necessary preparations for the next scene. The show they had been filming was called "A Resplendent, Morning Love", a romance which stars a young male, Saiki, who recently moved into an apartment in a peaceful little town. Opening his curtains to welcome the morning one day, he finds the apartment across from him also doing the same, a young female, Xei Mei, with a resplendent smile. He fell in love immediately. The show filmed the blossoming of this relationship as the guy tried to get the girl to fall in love with him.

Aki Exo, an upcoming actress, is starring the girl of this relationship. The actor starring the boy in this is Keiruka Rose, another rising actor in the film industry.

Currently, the scene they're trying to take is one of the most critical scenes in this show. This is when Saiki and Xei Mei kiss for the first time under a bus stop as the rain poured over them. The love and tension between them needs to be realistic and spot-on. So when Aki started to cry before they took this scene, Li could only get extremely irritated and try to persuade with force that she needs to woman up like a proper actress should and just take the scene. Even if the girl has no desire to because she wanted to keep her first kiss with someone she loved, or didn't like Keiruka, although he looked mighty fine and also looked very sexy with the rain look as it came together perfectly with his light blond hair and sparkly, pale blue eyes, or just didn't want to do it in general so she just started crying on the spot, causing a bit of a scene, an actress has to take the scene as part of her job.

Either way, the problem was now resolved and they could continue on with today's work. The moment Ms. Aki came out of the dressing room, the kiss scene would commence.
