Diya's POV
I kept on looking at the door which was slammed by a person who looked like a raging bull moments ago. I was utterly shocked. I don't understand what has got into his pants. The nerves of this man to throw the file on my face! He is so gonna pay for this. I mean what is my fault anyways. I did the tender papers accordingly. Yet he had to do that like a mad man. Mutton-head!
" Diya....I am really sorry. I apologies from Rahul's behalf. He is just not in his best mood today. Please forgive him" Vimal's regretful voice pulled me from my current state where I was mentally stabbing the jerk repeatedly.
Not in his best mood, my foot! Like hell when was he anyways. Oh yeah I remember, it was the day when he had trapped me using that fake contract. Such a sick-head.
" Its okay Vimal. You don't have to apologies from his behalf. He is a Jerk anyways" I snorted. Vimal was shocked to hear that coming out of me. " Look Vimal, he might be your 'dear' friend but for me, he is nothing but an a**hole," I said trying to control my anger.
Vimal sighed defeatedly. " Diya....you have mistaken Rahul. He is a nice guy by heart. He never shows that he cares but he does. He might be ruthless and cold today but I know the real Rahul behind that mask that he has put on display for everyone" he said reminiscing about his so-called bestie.
" I am not blaming you for thinking like that but just remember that there are always two faces for a coin," he said staring into space making me more confused. I shot him a confused look while he just shrugged it off.
" Anyways Diya, it was a pleasure meeting you" Vimal chirped. " The pleasure is mine" I smiled and gave him a handshake before he made a move.

Jenny's POV
" Rajeev....pls try to understand me. We can't keep on avoiding this topic. We have to face it one day. Please listen to me for once" I pleaded my husband who was now playing with our daughter Chloe.
Rajeev sighed clearly being frustrated with my continues pestering." Cloe dear, please go to your room sweetheart. Papa and mama will be there in a while" he said sending our daughter to her room. " Why don't you understand Jenny! Once a thing is broken, it's gone for good. You can never make it look the same, no matter how hard you try" he said making me sob loudly.
" But Rajeev, I can't stand her hatred anymore. Have you seen the fury and rage in her eyes, once she saw us at the theatre? I could only see hatred for us in those eyes..." I said breaking down. " Don't cry, Jenny. There is no point in crying over split milk" he said in a neutral tone.
" How can you say that Rajeev! HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN WHO YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT" I yelled at him with tears streaming down my cheeks.
" I can't live with quilt every passing second Rajeev! Her hatred towards me is eating me alive. I can't take it anymore" I said making Rajeev more frustrated.
" THEN, DON'T TAKE IT" he yelled and stormed out of our house. That made my muffled sobs to become even louder. " God....How am I going to make him understand?" I cried my heart out thinking about the same hatred which she showed me years back through her penetrating gaze which now has only been intensified.
Flashback
" Hi, kiddo! What is your name sweetheart? I am Jenny!" I chirped at a girl who was sitting at the corner of the house, her knees were pulled towards her chest and she had hidden her head in between her knees. I was taken aback when she tilted her head up to look at me. She had dark circles and sunken cheeks making her look like a person deprived of sleep and food. Her puffy and bloodshot eyes can tell any sane person that she had been crying for days or maybe weeks.
First, she just gave me a weak glance but when she registered my name her form started to tremble. I was suddenly concern and started to approach her. But she held her arm making me stop from taking any further steps towards her. " Don't come never me you WITCH!" she said in a hoarse voice and her jaw was ticking.
" W-what are you s-saying" I shuttered. Nevertheless, I started approaching her again. " Dare you to take another step and you will be dead" she threatened me with her deadly glares. Her eyes held so many emotions that I couldn't make out but the hatred that she held in her eyes for me was clearly displayed through her gaze.
Her eyes suddenly started to pool with tears while staring at me. " YOU!" she said pointing her forefinger at me in an accusing manner. " You are the reason for all my miseries. Because of YOU, I lost everything. I lost her....." her voice started cracking at the end while her form slumped down and she started sobbing continuously. I felt like someone squeezing my heart looking at her vulnerable form. Unknowingly, tears started pricking at the back of my eyes. I have never seen a kid her age in this state and her accusing me of her this state made my breathing to become frantic.
" Kid..." I tried to comfort her with my trembling voice but what she told me next shook the ground beneath me. " Don't come near me! I HATE YOU! I HATE YOUUUUUUUU" she wiped her tears furiously and ran away after stabbing my heart with her accusations. I stood there dumbfound.
Present
I closed my eyes tightly and my lips started to quiver as I tried muffling my loud sobs thinking about that horrible flashback. If only I could go back on time and change whatever happened in the past all this could have been prevented and I would have not been living with guilt eating me alive for every passing second. If only I could...
I am sorry Diya. I am so sorry. I will wait for the day when you will run into my arms. I will wait for the day when you accept me as your own. I will wait for the day where you will finally find a place in your heart to forgive me. I will wait, Diya. I will wait till I hold on to my last breath. I will wait......
I broke down as the darkness engulfed me into its embrace giving me temporary relief from my current turmoil.
