Moans and screams of pleasure filled the forest, making the hunger within me grow.
Pack members were already satisfying their sexual needs. Meanwhile, I still had yet to quench my own thirst.
She's 6ft away...... 8 ft.....now 10ft
I'm supposed to be getting closer, not farther away from her.
Man, she's fast.
Her body moves like a weasel, serpentining through the trees and stumps. What a clever female, using the forest to her advantage to slow me down.
Watching her run reminded me of when we were young. We used to chase after each other, just like this. She was always quick on her toes, jumping, dodging and squeezing through places you wouldn't expect a wolf to go.
Honestly, it always worked out in her favor. There was never a single time I could catch her. Well, except for the times she felt bad, then she was an easy catch.
However, this time was going to be different. I am no longer that pup who couldn't catch her.
No, now I'm a grown male, a male ready to catch his female.
Warm air traveled through my nasal passage quickly, cooling and heating as it entered and exited. I could feel the muscles between my rib cage contract, pulling it upward and outward as I breathed.
Wave sounds traveled through my ear canals, making my eardrum vibrate. From there it started to undergo a process before turning into sound. A sound I recognized, it was the sound of our paws, beating against the ground as we ran.
During the run the vomeronasal organ; a specialized half-moon shaped structure located inside my nose activated. It allowed me to smell her pheromones, sending me into overdrive.
12 ft ....... 10ft ....... 8ft
I was finally catching up. A rumble started to grow at the top of my throat
"RRRRRRR" I growled
Her ears shifted backwards.
Good, she heard me. I needed her to be aware, I had a thirst, a thirst for pleasure and so much more.
There it is, her tail, just inches away from my snout. I was about ready to pounce, to have her body beneath my own but of course....... She had to make things difficult.
Before I could pounce she did a spine out, a little nasty maneuver of hers to suddenly change direction.
There are very few pack members who know how to perform this trick. Sadly, I wasn't one of them. Her sudden change of direction made me plant my paws into the ground, sending my body sliding forward while she turned sharply to the left.
"Awwwooooooo" she howled, taunting me
That howl was her way of telling me, nice try. Once my body came to a halt I went back into the chase. Unfortunately, the ground I had covered was now lost. Ashlie was really making me work for it.
Next thing I knew I found myself standing in front of a river, the river of Upcharatmak; a river known to heal our people with its waters. Hence its name upcharatmak; an indian word for healing.
Ashlie is already half way across.
Damn, did she have to go into the river?
I wasn't expecting to get wet during this chase.
I was just about to jump in until .... I heard a sound.
Loud thuds racing towards us, it sounded like a group of horses galloping. However, these weren't horses, they were wolves. That only meant one thing, they were after her.
My fur stood on end and I suddenly felt the urge to protect. I hadn't even bred with her yet but here I was, finding myself being possessive. They would have to get through me first in order to cross that river.
It was a brawl between 4 males, including myself.
Why couldn't it be the non dominant kind
Harsh bites were exchanged, tearing flesh open, causing blood to flow. I myself had sustained an injury to the shoulder, causing me to wince in pain. The air now smelled like metal, it was the scent of blood no doubt.
While I fought, I happened to see a flash of black out of the corner of my eye. I didn't have time to look and see what or who it was.
"SPLASH!"
That sound alone got all of our attentions, someone slipped passed.
Question was, who?
