When I opened my eyes and looked around, I realized that I was not in my confined cell anymore but in a very open space. It was still relatively dark but I could see as far as my vision would let me. There were very tall looking things made of wood, with green stuff at the top of it. And there was green stuff underneath of my feet. It was soft and cool to the touch. Then I noticed that when I looked up there were a bunch of small lights in the sky way too many to count and that there was a big and round object in the sky that also gave off some light. Somehow while I was looking and taking these things in the name of the objects popped into my head. They were trees, grass, stars, and the moon. I gasped as I had never heard of these things before but somehow these names made sense to me. As I took in what I was looking at I came back to my senses and remembered David and Nala. I frantically looked around to try and find them but there was nothing but me in this open space that stretched on for miles.
I immediately started to panic wondering "how did I get here?" and "What do I do now?" As I calmed down I decided to start walking in the direction that the big circular thing in the sky was in. As I walked in this direction I did not hear anything but my own movements and breathing. I did not see anything but what I had noticed earlier. All of a sudden I heard a shout. It sounded like it was calling me so I started to run towards the sound. As I got closer the sound became louder and fuller, I started to hear drums, horns, and singing as I moved closer. When I could finally see what was going on I saw a huge group of people dancing and singing, eating and conversing with one another. There were so many different types of food that I had never seen before! The people there were dressed in very bright garments with a mixture of colors. I saw green, red, blue, purple, yellow, and a bunch of other colors. I saw beads on people's wrist and the women had gold and silver jewelry that shines everytime they move. The men wore colorful hats that matched their shirts and some of the women wore head wraps while others wore their hair in different styles. After watching this scene from a distance for a while, I decided to move closer to the gathering. As soon as I got close enough for them to see me, all of the moving and sounds stopped and everyone began to stare at me. I awkwardly paused as well, unsure of what I should do, but then I continued to move forward, hoping that someone would speak to me so that I could figure out what was going on. As I passed by the crowd of people, there was a certain type of energy that I felt was coming from them. It was almost as if their energy was trying to push me down to bow to them ,but somehow the energy also felt like it was strengthening me. Then very quickly, the crowd parted and lead me to the other side of the gathering where a tall, broad man dressed in a purple robe with gold embroidery. He also wore gold necklaces and gold rings with many different color stones them from red to blue to green and even purple. The chair that he sat on was more like a throne. It was a tall throne that was made out of very black material with white cushioning.
As I started to walk towards him I started to hear the drumming again. With each step the drumming became louder and faster. My heart began to race with anticipation wondering who this man was and what am I doing here. I soon reached the foot of the throne, the energy that I felt pressed down on me causing me to almost fall over, but I felt that I shouldn't fall in this situation, that I should stand strong. With determination I looked up into the face of the man sitting on the throne and he greeted my gaze with a smile. "Welcome my child." he said with a booming voice. I stared at him in bewilderment. "Who are you?" I asked. Immediately The crowd behind me went into an uproar. "WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?!" "YOU SHOW NO RESPECT!" The man sitting on the throne silenced the crowd with his hand and said "It is not his fault. He has been kept from his history." "What history?" I asked confused as to what was going on. He said "I am the first ruler of the continent Eyin. I am the one who united the four great tribes of Isas, Azus, Phalas, and Yifoya. I am the son of Shango, the Lord of Darkness, who was there at the creation of all things. I am the Demi-God Zo and you are my direct descendant." I still had a confused look on my face and wondered out loud "What does that have to do with me?" This was met with more shouting and complaining but the crowd was quieted again by Zo. He said, "Everyone who is behind you are your ancestors and have all ruled over the continent of Eyin for centuries. And YOU are the next heir to the throne."
As I gazed upon the face of Zo I began to hear my heart beating. I wasn't very fast but strong and then I began to feel tears running down my face. "But I am only Zahir. I do not know anything about ruling other people. I don't even know what the world looks like. I have been locked up as far back as I can remember and I have never seen outside. I have never spoken to anybody but David, Nala, and Jah. I couldn't even break out of my own cage. How do you expect me to lead? How do you expect me to do anything?" With a smile Zo replied "You shall know when the time comes. But you must know that we will always be with you." As he said this darkness started to flow from him and into me and it began to cover me but I wasn't scared of it. It felt warm and kind. And then everything became dark once again.
