Sounds of explosions echoed throughout the whole jungle.
"Oh! The kid goes in with a straight punch to Kuku's face but—she blocks it with her macana before sweeping the weapon at him, but he took it like a man with his hand! The two are duking at each other with raw power now! Look at them go, nya!" Jaguarman exclaimed, her eyes gleaming with excitement as she watched the intense exchange between Zenkichi and Quetzalcoatl.
'Uh, when are they going to stop this?' Ereshkigal thought, sitting on a wooden log, her eyebrows furrowed in concern as she watched the two go at it.
The ground trembled beneath their feet as Zenkichi and Quetzalcoatl clashed over and over again, neither of them backing down.
"Hahahaha! I'm having so much fun!" Quetzalcoatl shouted with a wide grin, her sharp teeth gleaming as she blocked another one of Zenkichi's powerful strikes. Her macana vibrated with divine energy as she spun it, deflecting the blow with ease before attempting to counter with a lightning-fast strike aimed at his side.
Zenkichi barely dodged, the weapon slicing through the air with a crack that echoed through the jungle. He smirked, sweat dripping down his brow but showing no sign of slowing. "You're not the only one having fun!"
With a sudden burst of speed, Zenkichi closed the gap between them and delivered a devastating elbow strike aimed at Quetzalcoatl 's chest. She caught it with her forearm, the impact causing the air around them to ripple. Her eyes lit up with excitement, her muscles tensing as she held her ground.
"Oho! So you've got some more fight in you after all!" Quetzalcoatl teased, her voice filled with playful menace. She twisted her body, using her strength to push Zenkichi back a few feet, the force of her shove leaving deep footprints in the ground.
Zenkichi stumbled but quickly recovered, cracking his neck that made an audible popping sound. His grin grew wider as he wiped the sweat from his forehead with the back of his hand. "You're strong, Quetzalcoatl... but I'm not going down that easily."
Quetzalcoatl laughed, her golden eyes gleaming with fierce joy. "Good! If you gave up now, I'd be disappointed!" She slammed her macana into the ground, causing a shockwave that rattled the trees around them, birds scattering from their branches in a panicked frenzy.
Zenkichi looked up at the sky and said, "Hm. How about we finish this fight with one final strike?"
Quetzalcoatl tilted her head and grinned widely, a playful yet dangerous glint in her eyes. "I like the sound of that! One final strike to decide it all!" She threw her macana high into the air, spreading her hands apart, divine energy surging through her body as she prepared for her ultimate move.
Zenkichi planted his feet firmly on the ground, gathering all his strength into his fists. The air around him grew thick with tension as the jungle itself seemed to hold its breath.
The temperature around them seemed to rise as their power surged. The jungle was bathed in an intense heat, the leaves rustling in anticipation of the final clash.
"Haaaaah!" With a final battle cry from both combatants, the air around them ignited with a crackling intensity. Quetzalcoatl's divine energy swirled around her like a fierce storm, her body radiating a golden light as she drew in all of her power. Her right fist, now glowing like the sun itself, punched forward, vibrating with overwhelming force.
Zenkichi left fist glowed with a fierce, fiery aura of its own. He channeled all of his energy into it, the raw power coursing through his veins. His eyes burned with unyielding determination.
"Meteor Crush!"
"Scorching Impact!"
Fist met fist, creating an earth-shattering impact, the ground beneath them quaking as if the entire jungle trembled in fear of their combined power.
A massive shockwave erupted from the point of impact, sending ripples of energy through the air and splitting the earth in a wide radius around them. The trees bent and swayed violently as the force of the collision radiated outward, and the sky above seemed to ripple as their auras clashed in a battle of raw strength.
For a moment, neither of them moved, their fists locked together in a titanic struggle. The jungle fell silent, as if holding its breath for the outcome.
Then, with a final explosion of energy, both fighters were thrown backward, skidding across the ground before finally coming to a stop. Dust and debris filled the air as the energy from their clash slowly dissipated.
Quetzalcoatl was the first to rise, wiping the sweat from her brow, her grin wide and satisfied. "That was incredible!" she panted, her eyes gleaming with excitement.
Zenkichi groaned as he pushed himself up, feeling the strain in his muscles for a moment before his regeneration kicked in. He glanced over at Quetzalcoatl and smirked. "Not bad... I think I felt that one."
"Yay~! Does that mean you're recognizing me as your big sister?"
Zenkichi paused and said, "That depends. Will you be willing to work alongside me and others to properly save humanity from what is to come?"
Quetzalcoatl's grin slowly fell, and a serious look overtook her features as she straightened up. The playful energy that usually radiated from her seemed to fade. Her eyes narrowed thoughtfully, and she crossed her arms,
"Working alongside my new little brother to save humanity, huh..." she muttered softly, her gaze shifting to the horizon as if lost in thought. Her lips tugged upwards into a smile. "Sure!"
Zenkichi stared at her in surprise, "Wait, really?"
"What? You don't want your big sis helping you?" she asked, raised eyebrow and hand on her hip.
"No, yes—I mean...." Zenkichi stumbled over his words, caught off guard by how quickly Quetzalcoatl had agreed. "I'm just surprised! I thought it would take more convincing."
Quetzalcoatl chuckled, her playful demeanor returning as she placed a hand on her hip. "Come on, little brother! You didn't think I'd turn down the chance to help save humanity, did you?"
"Uh, then, why are you in an alliance with the purpose of destroying humanity?" Zenkichi asked, he somewhat remembered that she, alongside Ereshkigal, isn't actively destroying humanity.
Ereshkigal joined the alliance in order to safeguard as many souls as possible in Kur out of her love for all humans fated to die. However, with Envy taking over the underworld and having stole some of her divine authority, Ereshkigal would be willing to help Zenkichi to stop Kingu's schemes and the other monster sins.
Quetzalcoatl didn't want to destroy humanity either, she only joined the Three Goddess Alliance in order to prevent the other members from destroying humanity with the Greater Grail of Uruk by getting to it first.
In mythology, Quetzalcoatl is a gentle god who loves peace, and it is said that he bestowed many blessings to the humans. For what reason he/she would have in destroying humanity?
The only one in their alliance who wanted the destruction of humanity was Gorgon.
'Huh,' Zenkichi blinked, scratching his head. 'that's....weird? I feel like I'm remembering more details about this singularity. Is this because of my power-up?'

'A new quest! And it's one related to my Godhood!' Zenkichi clenched his fists, feeling his heart burning with determination. But he quickly calmed down.
First off, he couldn't complete the quest in this world, it would lead to the creation of a singularity or worse—a Lostbelt. But the latter is the worst scenario and a near zero chance of happening, but still.
He was going to complete it in another world, specifically the one Brunhilde had mentioned to him beforehand.
At that moment, Jaguarman, who had been watching from the sidelines with wide eyes, finally let out a breath of relief and started running towards them. "Nya! That was insane! You two really went all out!"
Ereshkigal approached, shaking her head with an exasperated sigh. "I'm just glad you two didn't fight to the death. That was... intense."
Jaguarman skidded to a halt beside them, her tail swishing with excitement. "Nya, it was amazing! The power, the moves—both of you were incredible! But hey, now that you're all done, what's next?"
Zenkichi looked at Quetzalcoatl and then at Ereshkigal, a newfound resolve in his eyes. "To put it simply, both Quetzalcoatl and Jaguarman is on our side."
"Nya? Why?" Jaguarman looked utterly confused.
Quetzalcoatl waved her off, "Eh, I'll tell you about it later on."
Zenkichi pondered for a moment, but Quetzalcoatl interrupted by saying, "Well, you two could stay with me for a while and have a party! That's the lucha libre way!"
Zenkichi and Ereshkigal exchanged glances, the latter nodded at him with a small smile. "Alright, sure. I'm a bit hungry anyway," Zenkichi said, nodding in agreement.
Quetzalcoatl's eyes sparkled with delight. "Excellent! I've got plenty of food and drinks prepared. And don't worry, I'll make sure it's a party to remember!"
Jaguarman's tail swished with excitement. "Nya, I can't wait! It's going to be so much fun!"
"You're not invited."
"Why?!"
