Olga and Irina looked at each other before answering, and Jake instantly became suspicious.
"I don't know where to start," Olga said.
"I do," said Irina. She looked Jake right in the face, as if defying him to challenge what she was about to say.
"There have been big changes at the Hyatt," she said.
"The what?"
"The hotel. It's called Hyatt Regency. You didn't notice?"
Jake exploded.
"Get the fuck out of here," he snarled. "Both of you. Right now. And don't even think about coming back."
"But what's the matter?" asked Olga. "Jake! What's wrong?"
"You're wrong. Everything about you is wrong. I'm fucking fed up with that Russian lip of yours. Always taking digs at people. Always snarky. Always criticizing everything and everyone and making believe as if you knew better. Get the fuck out of here and don't come back."
"But we don't have anywhere else to go!" cried Olga.
