Morello departed a few minutes later. Jake and Li Yang stood side by side in front of the door to their new home, watching the golf cart until it disappeared behind a bend.
Then they went inside the cabin and unpacked, taking careful inventory of all their belongings. Counting the cans brought by Morello they calculated they had enough food for four to five days, a week if they cut back on rations.
"We have to launch tomorrow," Li Yang said.
Jake nodded.
"Tomorrow afternoon," he said.
"Will it also be afternoon over there, when we arrive?"
"I don't know."
"So it could be night?"
"It could."
"When are you going to talk to the girls?"
