Morales woke up and quickly rolled off the silvery mat at 3:15 pm Pacific Standard time. The small standing calendar he kept on his night table informed him that the current date on Earth was March 8th, 2035.
Morales had fond associations with that date. March 8th was the International Women's Day, raucously celebrated in some parts of the world. It had been Morales' pleasure to be present in some of these parts on the 8th of March, a couple of times.
On the first occasion he'd been married to wife number one. On the second occasion he was married to wife number two. He hoped that before he died, there would be a wife number three and another visit to a country where March 8th was a very special date, a day when women were adored also in the practical sense.
