Synopsis
Izuku Midoriya, being pulled out of his fanboy delusions, walks home mentally battered. He began finding a way around the situation, how he will never be a hero. He then decided that, rather continuing living in this lies-of-heroes world, it would be better to simply just end it all; not like anybody is going to care. After finding a six story building next to the ocean, Izuku walks up the roof into the emergency exit of the building. He sits in the border curb of the rooftop as he contemplates the sunset with its orange and fluffy companions. He mutters, "Men really are not born equal." With this thought in mind he leans forward, and drops. As the waves crash violently because of the sudden intrusion, some shades of crimson taint the ocean. The ripples in the ocean start to fade away just like the sunset. The silence overcomes the shore, occasionally broken by crashing waves. *DING* *Quirk Activation: overcome a li-....*

Chapter 1 - Men Really Are Not Born Equal

Men are not created equal at birth. This is the fact I realized when I was four.

"Don't think yourself as a hero. You good-for-nothing Deku."

"Not gonna happen kid. Give it up."

"I'm sorry Izuku!"

"What are you capable of, anyway."

"Sorry kid, I don't think it's possible to be a hero without a Quirk"

"Dreams are nice as long as they stay in your sleep."Β

...

Izuku kicked an empty can of soda as he walked without direction, waking up from his thoughts. He stared absent minded at the can before continuing to walk. He was still shocked that after all these years he was still living a farce even though everyone told him it wouldn't be possible. Guess he can only blame himself for being delusional and ignorant.

Maybe there still a chance, he thought, knowing there wasn't. He knew that the most he would be able to accomplish is being a police officer, where he would only be in charge of delivering the villain to the prison. A delivery boy. He sighs as he walks, even the number 1 hero told him it was impossible, just a dream.

Drip drip

He touched his face to find it was wet. Weird, is it raining?

He looks up into the rosy sky to find it was only cloudy. He sighs and rubs the tears out of his face with his sleeve. Pathetic.

He cried knowing he wouldn't accomplish his dream of being a hero.

Maybe Kacchan wasn't exactly being mean but telling me all along to stop so I didn't get hurt in the long run but... I didn't listen.

He bites his inner lip as he realized his childhood bully always told home the truth instead of giving him fake hope unlike his "friends".

What's the point on living anymore, he stares at a remote building in the distance next to the ocean, hearing the waves crash and the salty feeling in the skin. He walks up ahead and enters the building l, apparently being an abandoned six story warehouse.

Climbing the stairs to the roof, he exits the building into the rooftop and sits in the border curb, letting his feet dangling in the air. He stares blankly into the horizon and mutters,

"Men really are not born equal."

He leans forward and drops, falling into the ocean.
