Chapter 4 - Chapter Two Continued

Unable to move or fight back the woman could only let tears of rage and pain flow from her eyes. Pumping as hard as he could he latched onto her lip biting it till blood came out. A soft wail escaped the female, wrenching Deidre's heart. The man released her lip and growled excitedly. Like a beast he latched on to her cheek biting as hard as he could. Blood oozed into his mouth and down her chin.

Sickened Diedre turned away from the sight. Ignorant to the ways of humans she was not sure what was happening. However, the ache in her heart told her it was evil. The man torturing this woman was pure evil.

Turning back she counted the number of women and children, paying close attention to the binds on their wrists and ankles. Attempting to ignore the grunting noises of the man assaulting the woman she took note of the standing humans. All male with shiny clothing, weapons and cruel expressions upon their faces. While forming a plan, a child suddenly wailed, in a panic the mother and a female beside her tried to silence the babe.

The nearest man walked up jerking the wailing child from her arms. He pulled a dagger from his side and sliced the neck of the babe. Coldly he dropped the little body to the ground and walked away, the babe now silent was still moving, gurgling noises came out from the mouth. The mother crawled to her babe weeping, her sobs silent, wracking her entire body. Picking her fatally wounded infant up gently, she held the little one close to her heart as the life slowly faded away.

Deidre sank back in horror. Unable to understand what was happening and why was such cruelty shown. She grabbed the sides of her head slowly losing herself to chaotic thoughts. Laughter erupted from some of the men as they watched the man assaulting the now unconscious woman. Some egging him on while others watched eagerly.

A feeling of losing oneself was creeping into Deidre. Dark tendrils ebbed and groped bits of her sanity, causing her to slowly recede into darkness. Like a fragile egg shell shattering from the slightest touch, Deidre fell into complete darkness as some of the women and children began to scream.
