"Yes. Why? Do you want to, touch, it?"
Rolling her eyes at Axel since he spoke the word 'touch' with an obvious innuendo, Meili asked, "What are you doing here, Axel?"
"Following your words, I'm here to show you how much I changed."
"Stop kidding around. How much could you possibly change in a few hours?"
Moving closer to Meili, Axel hugged her by the waist as if it was something very natural.
"How could you know that I haven't changed if you don't put in effort into trying to see if I have."
"Humph! If you really did change stop hugging me and move away from the door."
Smiling and licking his lips, Axel looked like he was about to reject but surprisingly that teasing smile changed into a gentle one as he moved aside giving way for Meili to leave.
Though a little surprised, the woman didn't stay and left the washroom with Axel following behind her.
Going back near the gate, the two of them sat in one corner with neither of them speaking a single word and looking like a couple who were in the middle of a fight to everyone who looked at them.
"Don't go, Meili."
Speaking out of nowhere, Axel held her hand with his own and repeated himself.
"Don't go, Meili."
"What are you talking about, Axel? I... "
Not letting her speak, Axel said, "Don't go back to China, let's go someplace else. Let's go anywhere else in the world. Just the two of us."
Snorting while not being able to hide her smile since she guessed that Axel was jealous of her husband and scared that he wouldn't be able to be with her ever again, Meili said, "You should know very well that I can't do such a thing. Unlike you, I've got some things which I can't run away from just because I want to."
"Then fine. Don't run away. I'll just take you away by force. Wouldn't that be fine?"
'Stop this, young one. What you're doing isn't charismatic, it's just pathetic.'
Ignoring Isis's voice which only he could hear, Axel continued by holding her hand even more tightly.
"You'd never have to go back to your precious life or think about anything else. I'll take care of you like a queen, Meili."
Looking into Axel's eyes which didn't look like they were lying, Meili smiled and stroked his hair.
Shaking her head with the same smile she said, "You're just chasing after me because I'm the first woman who rejected you. But we both know that these feelings won't last for long. So, forget about me and continue living as you were. It's not as if I would've left with you if you were any different the first time we had sex anyway."
"You didn't forget that I'm a married woman, did you?"
Not saying anything else, Meili stopped stroking Axel's face and got up to board the plane leaving the boy alone I'm his seat.
'Why go that far for a mortal woman, young one? I'm sure there are many better women out there.'
Shaking his head while pursing his lips, Axel said, "I don't know why myself. All I know is that I want her all to myself at all costs."
Sighing from hearing those words, Isis who knew that the heart of a person was the most unreliable and uncontrollable part of them didn't say anything else as Axel also boarded the plane.
After that even though his seat was right beside Meili's, he didn't say a single word to her the entire team and let her rest in peace.
If there was one thing he said to her, it was when the flight finally landed in China after the long near ten hour-long journey.
"I know that you don't like me and wouldn't want to hear these words, but here."
Handing her a piece of paper with his phone number on it, Axel said, "Feel free to call me at any time. I'll help you regardless of what it is that you want. Even if what you want is to run away with me and enjoy a vacation in some faraway tropical island."
Chuckling a little, Meili who couldn't remember the last time someone looking at her with such longing eyes was really remotes into taking Axel up on his offer and fly to a tropical island right away.
In the end, though she didn't do such a thing,
"You're a sweet one, Axel. I'm sorry if I hurt you."
Saying those words Meili got off the plane while Axel who was left behind once again was thinking more and more that maybe this was the last time he would see her.
Should he have just taken Isis's help in taking her away by force?
While thinking so Axel who no longer knew how to feel, grunted and groaned loudly as he stood up to leave.
'Don't think too much, young one. There will be other women in your life.'
"Yes.… but not like this one."
Despite not knowing why he was saying these words since Axel himself still didn't know what was so special about Meili, the boy got off the plane.
