Chapter 74 - Times

Ravel POV-

"I cant believe he would actually try to make a deal with us." Ravel

*Sigh

"Still it's good that he didn't fight with Gin. The chances of him winning without Kess and Vulki is about 50-50. Even if he did win, Raveth would be able to escape anyways....." Ravel

"....Do you want me to hunt him down again?" Wetho

"No, from the sounds of it, he is surrounded by elites. On top of that, this is their territory. Not worth the risk....." Ravel

....

After a while Gin returned. Looking at his army, I see very little casualties. The only real species that seems to have taken a blow is the one fungus species. Knowing how that species operates makes it understandable.

He walks over and has a suprised look on his face?

"Hey Gin~!" Ravel

He kneels? What's the point of that? You only do that when you submit to someone. I already submitted along with Wetho so why do that. I look behind me. Tacticians, generals, along with other major staff. Is he kneeling to show face or something? Pointless!

"Come on don't do that~. You need to show dignity instead!" Ravel

Although they are 'trusted' staff, I don't want them looking down on him. In a way it could even be seen as them looking down on me. Why are they trusted? Well, it's a bit complicated.

One question that lingers in different societies is 'what is loyalty'. Although most are unable to view it, it does exist in the system. I have an artifact that lets me view it as most countries do... With it, I can see how people view me. It has helped identify plenty of traitors.....

Now how do you ensure your subordinates loyalty? The best way I found was enslaving them from young. If you raise them while making the sole purpose of their existence yourself, then it doesn't matter if they are drow or not. The highest level I got from that is 85. Betrayal does not exist in their mind. Others are not important. Wetho has a loyalty of 70 which is quite high. As expected of my partner.

However, Gin is.... Different.... At times his loyalty level will be at around 70. At others around 30. Extremely unstable..... I worry that he may have 'problems'. Perhaps he just has a problem with me previously being a drow? This is something unanswerable unless asked.....

"Who is this pup? He should be laying himself on the ground instead." Drow Staff

What? That's not right? I look at the staff and realize that he is one that was forced into that position by the nobles. He was enlsaved so as to be 'trusted' but still.... I look over at Wetho and make a hand-motion. She nods and asks to see the staff member privately. His face scrunches up in a horny manner and he struts out of the room with Wetho. Does he really think he stands a chance with her? Idiot.

"So. Huh?" Gin

I interrupt and lead him out of the tent towards a more private place. I'd rather not have to deal with more nobles causing problems. The time is coming. After we deal with these trashes, we can finally move forward. Madam Farblight and Drun are getting everything prepared. The noble factions think that I'm looking for a male concubine. What that really means is that if the current king were to die they would become the new one. A life where you could drown in pleasure. Of course I've never done anything with any of the kings. Wetho is my only partner, although, I am growing fond of Gin for some reason. Was it the conversion? Can't be.... Otherwise Madam Farblight, Inival, and all of the others who were converted would experience similar things..... Wait.... Are they?

Back on topic, the noble factions are going to participate in a game of sorts. The winner will die along with every other noble that isn't under Madam Farblight. Of course they believe that the winner will actually get to become my concubine.... The game involves your sterotypical tournament. Here's the thing though. No drow are allowed to participate. They must use slaves that they capture within the union. That part is almost done as most of the nobles have already cheated and brought slaves back from the Drow Theocracy. A few are trying their luck in the Union which is why I had to ask Raveth for some time before we pull out. As for how we plan to wipe the nobles out....Secret~.

"You aren't planning on seducing my saint? Right?" Nemesis

Woah! Where'd she come from? Nemesis is Gin's newest broodmother. I don't understand how his class works but, it seems to have something to do with broodmothers and whatever Set is. Basically weird spiders or something of the like.

"Nemesis, it's fine. We're probably just going to discuss about the Union ambush from earlier." Gin

"I just want to make sure. Are you planning on seducing him with those udders of yours? Or is it that you want to join us Broo-" Nemesis

"Nemsis! Stop! That is not something to be said!" Gin

I actually was planning on seducing him but, what is this? Broo? Broodmothers? Join them? Oh. So his class can do that? Why? Do I have a desire for that. I wonder.... I secretly use the artifact that I have to try to see my own loyalty towards him. It actually works.

*Loyalty: 90

?!?!? My chest drops as I see that number. 90. A number never before seen. I have that level of loyalty to someone I hardly really know. My fondness for him makes sense now. The fact that I actually see him as a person and not a slave or resource..... Is this fine?

'It's fine'

Something deep within tells me that and it has a hypnotic effect. It's fine. Fine...

"So, can you make me into one of your broodmothers~?" Ravel

My worries, doubts. They all fade along with some potentially important things. Are they really that important though? Weth-..... -rry.

Gin POV-

Ravel has been acting weird... Although, I don't know her well enough to say so.... Nmesis ended up questioning her about seducing me. I highly doubt it. I look over myself. I'm unattractive just like my previous world. I'm in my late thirties.

Although that may not sound bad, stress aged me far past that so, I appear to be in my fifties. My skin is a weird pale color with miniscule hints of green. Sickly looking. My hair which was originally short and black is now down to my shoulders and looks like seaweed with how green it is. On top of all that I look like a stickman. Not sure if it's all due to not eating anymore, my species, or my class. I've just become something freakish.

...

I had to stop Nemesis from giving away information on my class. There's no way that Ravel would kno-

"So, can you make me into one of your broodmothers~?" Ravel

She knows!

"Ummm...." Gin

"I'll take that as a yes~" Ravel

*Subordinate is Perfectly compatible for assimilation into a Broodmother. Doing so will have no unforeseen consequences. Y/N?

The prompt is quite different. Perfectly compatible is something I've never seen. It says no unforeseen consequences as well. So another problem child like Xelu will not appear? Wait. What am I thinking!?!? She's the leader of a race! Without her leading it will become much harder to convert the rest of the drow in this pocket.

She starts making an upset face. Err..... It this how the one charisma stat works because it sure is effective!?!?

"Ummmm..... Let's see.... If you help convert the rest of the drow in this pocket I will." Gin

.....

.....

Wetho POV-

Ra-....-rry.
