- Madam Farblight POV
The great saint has given us all missions to prove ourselves. I immediately chose to go after the crow worshippers. I used to be engaged to their leader. It was a family thing and I had no say. However, once that corpse fucker saw me, he had the engagement called off right away. 'How am I supposed go sleep with a huge chunk of lard?' Even after elevating my family to new heights, even making dukes show respect to us, my rage didn't boil down.
If I had the choice, I would murder all of these crow worshippers. To bad that the crows are known to have very little corruption. How you ask? Through a complex system of slavery. Every member of The Crows is a slave. They are all enslaved to each other which makes it impossible to overule an order unless every member agrees.
I gather a large amount of forces at their cliff. Their main temple is built a small distance away from the capital on a precarious cliff. It looks extremely unstable but, it has remained for hundreds of years. Other forces have attacked it as well to try and make it buckle. All failed attempts. We are not really on a murder mission so that is not really an option... It would be a good point of attack though..... Kess' spiderlings can crawl their way up. We also have a good number of Xelu's spiderlings with us. It was easy to smuggle them here as the temple is a bit away from civilization. So, have our forces with a small number of Kess' spiderlings go in through the front with us. While we are doing that a huge force will climb the cliffs as Xelu's spiderlings cause choas from above.
Only thing left is to get started. Already have a layout of the place. That shit should be sitting on the top of the weird leaning tower sticking out of the stone temple. We need to make sure to capture all of them though. All of the members of the main temple are here at the moment but, if even one escapes, their slave crests will become an obstacle to agreeing with our orders. They have a good amount of orders inprinted inside them including ones that prevent them from working with outsiders...
I have a group of mages that I borrowed from Drun set up a barrier to prevent any type of teleportation. Seeing as they worship crows, they may have some sort of thing that could allow flight so I will leave of couple dozen of Xelu's spiderlings to keep them out of the air. Have to be quick. After the barrier is set up We'll rush these fuckers. The Crows are not know to be strong or magically inclined. Instead they are slippery bastards.
-------
I rush along with my subordinates as the barrier is erected. Hordes of metal spiderlings flow forward tearing down any sort of defense. They are having a little trouble actually catching anyone but, after they start laying web throughout the whole area they start catching preys. The subordinates I brought along have very strong defenses and good movement techniques. Very little offensive capabilities though. Although they are not very agile, they can move in ways that helps them corner these slippery fucks. Add on the metallic webbing that's starting to cover the labyrinth-like passageways this mission is going relatively smoothly.
We make our way up the temple capturing more and more of The Crows until we reach the top. The top of the temple is opened up to the skies. Their is a giant staircase that leads to the leaning tower. Close. We arrive after a bunch of Kess' and Xelu's spiderlings have already dealt eith most of the situation. They probably came from the cliffs.... As for Xelu's spiderlings, I can see a couple drow wrapped up in their tentacles. They look terrified as they should be.
So. That just leaves the tower. I lead the way and open a large wooden door. Inside the tower is wooden as well. He must've thought that the place would never be invaded.....
Books and vials cover the floor and walls as a wobbly staircase winds its way up the tower..... I don't want the place to collapse so, I only have Xelu's spiderlings follow along, floating. Walikng up the staircase carefully I eventually make my way to the top..... That was frightening... He must have made this place so that people who are a little hefty will have trouble. I'll engrave my foot into that little shit.
What I see at the top is quite suprising. The place looks to be made of fine wood. Very neatly arranged unlike the bottom, which had books and vials laying about. The main point is the giant multicolored glass 'eye' that looks over a huge distance. Luckily, it can only see far away, otherwise, he may have noticed the spiderlings at the bottom of the cliff earlier.
The shit is sitting in a fluffly couch that looks like it is made of feathers. He's smoking a pipe and just gazing out of the eye. There is no way he doesn't know that I am here due to the 'moderate' amount of noise that I made in my..... Approach..... I see a beautiful skinny girl sitting next to him, gazing as well..... He turns the chair and they both end up facing me. He is..... Old? Not really old but, his hair is starting to whiten. He should be around fifty so that is way to young for something like that. Drow usually have happen when they are at least 200 years old.....His eyes have shades of grey as well. Signs of turning blind.
He smiles wryly as he mumbles something inaudible to me. The beauty by his side smiles wryly as well.
"It's been a while ehh, 'Madam Farblight'. Quite a new title. Though, I guess that nobility will not mean much in the days to come. The days of drow will come to an end. It's just too bad that it couldn't be achieved through our father.... He's a open god though. Won't care if we worship one, two, or a hundred different gods. Sillith. To think that a relative of hers would appear.... Quite spectacular....." Crow leader
What? Relative of Sillith? How does he know some of this information?
"Hmmmm? Are you confused? More than one prophet has seen what is to come. Most have kept quiet about it though. Whether we work against the flow or accept it, nothing will change..... What will be, will be." Crow leader
"Then why didn't you guys just give up. If you knew that this would happen why fight back." Farblight
"Well..... I'm not a dictator you know. They all chose to fight back with everything they had. All useless though. I gave plenty of warnings but, they just slipped their ears. I do want to see the man himself. Sylphy and me may be able to experience 'love' as well. I do have to apologize for myself those years ago. I was, after all, 'just a regular teenage drow'." Crow leader
Apologize? What has happened to this little shit? My rage. Is being replaced with indifference. I just don't care about it anymore...
*sigh
I guess everythings done on my end.....
