Kess POV-
Seeing Gin talk to the newbie I get lost in thought.... Fungal.... I don't like that aspect. I have a feeling that it will reduce the amount of snacks I get. I haven't really cared about any of the others when they came along but, this is different. My gluttony is needed. Otherwise I would turn into someone like Set or Vulki. Idolizing Gin to a terrifying degree. Although, I do like Gin a lot, that is a degree of mental illness that I'd rather not reach. Xelu is pretty fine. She is full of confusion and curiosity so she doesn't focus too much on Gin. I have a feeling that once her mind settles.... Well who knows~....
I can see the newbie breathing heavily as she talks to Gin.... Another one huh. 100% loyalty brings the crazy out of creatures. I start listening in when they talk about abilities. I hope she has abilities like Set who barely ever has the chance to use them. Her rune ability has only been used on dying enemies and, even then, very rarely.
...
Damn. I was right. She basically creates undead by having spores infiltrate corpses or weak creatures. Well, not really undead as the spores are alive and sprout in the corpse.... Her draconic aspect gives her a massive boost in physical abilities while the human part of the fungal aspect gives her undead greater intelligence.
It seems her spiderlings are kinda useless though. They are really fast and strong but, at the same time whenever they come into contact with anything with too much force, they explode into a massive cloud of spores. Her webbing is a weird blue and, releases stronger spores at short intervals.... A talent that she basically had from before is that she is extremely good at going around unnoticed. Perhaps her and Set can work in tandem.
Negotiation time.
"So, Gin, this won't effect my snacks at all will it~." Kess
I try to water my eyes up as I make the cutest face I can. I don't know if it'll work with a face like mine but, my eyes are just like any other mammals. WORK!!!...He gives a scrunched up face. Is that a good response?
"You can keep the majority of the corpses we get. Just give Neme the stronger ones." Gin
Crap. Can't be helped, I guess. The stronger corpses have a more crunchy texture which is pretty good. The weaker ones can almost be slurped down as the bones break into millions of shards very easily which is an enjoyable feeling as well.....
Everyone gets back to work so I should as well.
------
I have a lot of my minions working on digging a tunnel. The amount of minions I have at this point is uncountable. With me building more spawners it will only get even more crazy. Looking at the tunnel which is probably a dozen kilometers long and about 30 meters in diameter gives a feeling of satisfaction. I immediately start overseeing the excavation. My minions are not dumb but, if I left the work to them for too long a collapse would only be a matter of time. They start swaying back and forth and they start 'screeeeing' as they work. It seems that after teaching them various things they have developed a sort of sub-culture.
The ones that aren't dancing or working are bowing to me. Hmmmm~. These guys enjoy working for me. I enjoy working for Gin but.... What does he enjo-.... Stop. I need to focus myself. I won't turn into Set, Vulki, or the newbie.....
I see that the pile of rock debris has gotten much larger. Not as delicious as flesh but, it'll do.
-------
After consuming rock for a few hours I'm interrupted by a few of my minions that are rather frantic..... It seems that they dug into a secret passage. I explore it a little and am left bewildered. Statues of fat humanoid creatures fill the passage leading upto a massive space several kilometers wide and high..... There is also a temple. The only thing is that it's on the roof of the cavern.... Looking close it seems to be infested with centipedes. A few fall down into a green lake that I didn't notice at first due to the ridiculousness of the temple taking up my mind.
*Sppppppoooooooalllll
A weird sound errupts as a horde of fish fly out of the lake devouring the centipedes before they reach the lake.... Gin would probably like to know about this place. I withdraw for now. I was a little worried about having to eat rocks for a while but, now I'm filled with a sort of relief.

Gin POV-
Kess seems to have uncovered a secret tunnel. This is one of the things I was hopeful about. We should be fine as long as there is no legendary creatures. I take everyone along with me too explore it along with an army of spiderlings just in case. Neme seems to stay close to me whenever she doesn't have anything else to do. I was stunned to learn that she stared at me for several hours when I was reading up about vampires. Isn't she just as bad as Set? Set seems to want to stick to me all the time which is pretty weird but, at least she has the excuse of being a guardian....
We make our way down the massive tunnel that Kess dug and reach a small tunnel. I see the fat humanoid statues. They have horns, hooves and a weird looking tail.... Cow people? Perhaps this was an old place of worship. Still.... What is it doing so far underground. I doubt that cow-people live this far down. Eventually we see the giant temple.
It kind of looks like an ancient Aztec temple except that it is made of blue stone. The kind of temple that sacrifices would be made on.....? I didn't notice the place was illuminated. Since I can see in the dark, I didn't notice at first but, there is a blue light that is almost like a thin fog that covers everything. A little eerie. Welp, lets just let the spiderlings explore the place. I'm not one to take risks.
