Chapter 37 - A Stroke of Genius (5)

Due to yesterday's accident involving Fu Yang, Chaoyang School took strong measures, mobilizing all school police and security to strictly guard the school gate, preventing anyone riding motorcycles, electric bikes, or rollerblading from entering the school. Mu Zi pushed his heavy motorcycle into the campus with a sense of resignation, thinking to himself, "Is this my own doing?"

Now, let's talk about Mu Zi and Ouyang Liuse. As they walked side by side in the school campus, they immediately attracted many evil glances from teachers and students. Mu Zi could feel their envy and jealousy, but instead of feeling fortunate or proud, he felt a chill running down his spine. Those glances were like sharp knives...

A day at school was uneventful, except for the news that Fu Yang would be hospitalized for more than two months due to his injuries, which oddly excited Mu Zi. Of course, Ouyang Liuse's attention towards him as a student was increasing, and Mu Zi felt that his current life was truly blissful. He was in love and attending school at the same time—what a wonderful life!

After school, Mu Zi accompanied Ouyang Liuse back home and then rode his motorcycle straight to the Chu Xiao Group headquarters.

The Chu Xiao Group was about four or five intersections away from the Green Home Community. Due to the rush hour, the streets were crowded, and Mu Zi's speed was slow. His Harley motorcycle had turned into the speed of a bicycle as he slowly made his way through the crowd. Suddenly, he remembered the incident in front of the breakfast shop in the morning—the girl... she was quite cute, a typical wild child.

Lost in thought, Mu Zi gradually arrived at the front of the Chu Xiao Group building. When he was about a hundred meters away from the small building, he suddenly stopped.

A familiar car was coming towards him—a black BMW with the license plate BB888. It was Chu Xuelin's car!

The car wasn't driving very fast; it passed Mu Zi slowly and continued ahead. Mu Zi wondered, "Where is she going now? I haven't thought of a way to enter the headquarters yet. To deal with Chu Xuelin, I must find a way through Jiang Xiaofen. To do that, I need to understand her, her habits, and her weaknesses."

Since he couldn't think of a way to enter the headquarters, he decided to follow the car and see where it was heading. With determination, Mu Zi started his motorcycle and followed the car from a distance.

The car passed through two intersections and stopped at the farmer's market.

Buying groceries? Mu Zi thought as he stopped behind the car. Then, the car's door opened, and Jiang Xiaofen stepped out. It was Jiang Xiaofen who was driving; Chu Xuelin wasn't in the car.

Then, the other door opened, and a young girl jumped out. At the sight of the girl, Mu Zi's heart skipped a beat. She was dressed similarly to the girl he had encountered on the bike in the morning!

At this point, Jiang Xiaofen had handed over two bags of groceries to the girl and was paying the vendor. The girl was helping her.

Mu Zi took a few steps forward and saw the girl's face.

The world is really small! Mu Zi was surprised and confirmed that the girl he had met in the morning was indeed her! According to Li Tian's description, she was the daughter of Chu Xuelin and Jiang Xiaofen!

Mu Zi's brain spun rapidly, he locked his motorcycle, and walked briskly towards the two of them.

By this time, Jiang Xiaofen had already bought the fruits. She handed two bags of fruits to her daughter and took out money from her bag to pay the vendor.

The girl, carrying two bags of fruits, was about to run to the car when Mu Zi happened to approach her.

"Ah!" The girl screamed as soon as she saw Mu Zi, as if she had seen a ghost. The fruits in her hand fell to the ground, and apples rolled everywhere. The girl didn't care about the fruits and quickly ran to hide behind Jiang Xiaofen.

It can't be that serious... Am I that terrifying? Mu Zi smiled wryly and touched his nose.

Jiang Xiaofen looked puzzled as she glanced at her daughter, who was hiding her face behind her, and then at Mu Zi, who was standing in front of her. She furrowed her eyebrows and asked her daughter, "Chuchu, what's wrong?"

Chuchu... a nice name, Mu Zi thought to himself.

"Mom, is he... is he here to cause trouble for me?" Chuchu hid behind Jiang Xiaofen and said timidly.

Jiang Xiaofen's brows furrowed even tighter. "Cause trouble for you? Why would he want to cause trouble for you?"

"I almost... bumped into him and his girlfriend when we were racing with classmates this morning," Chuchu said in a low voice while pulling her mother's arm.

"Oh," Jiang Xiaofen understood the situation and gradually relaxed. She patted Chuchu's arm and turned to walk towards Mu Zi.

Before she could speak, Mu Zi had already taken two steps forward and smiled, saying, "This young lady might have misunderstood. I just came to buy groceries and happened to run into her. I didn't take this morning's incident to heart at all. I just wanted to remind her to be careful when riding a bike in the future."

Jiang Xiaofen smiled as she looked at the sincere young man in front of her. She politely said, "The incident this morning was Chuchu's fault. I apologize..."

"Hehe, Auntie, no need to apologize. It was my fault for scaring her," Mu Zi said, bending down to pick up the apples on the ground.

"No need to trouble you; we can do it ourselves..." Seeing this, Jiang Xiaofen immediately began picking up apples with Chuchu.

After picking up the apples and packing them, Jiang Xiaofen thanked Mu Zi repeatedly and patted Chuchu's shoulder, saying, "See? Your big brother is really nice! He's friendly and polite. You should learn from him..."

After the exchange while picking up apples, Chuchu had become completely familiar with Mu Zi. She made a face at him and pointed to her own mouth, expressing her protest against her mother's nagging.

"So, Auntie, Chuchu, are you done shopping?" Mu Zi realized that continuing the conversation wouldn't serve much purpose, so he decided to say goodbye.

"Oh... uh-huh?" Just then, Jiang Xiaofen's phone rang, and she took out her phone from her bag. "Teacher Liu, what's the matter..."

Seeing her mother's increasingly distressed expression, Chuchu had a triumphant look on her face. She walked up to Mu Zi, motioned for him to lean over, and whispered, "I made the third tutor my mom found for me run away, hehe..."

Seeing her look so pleased while speaking, Mu Zi was quite surprised.

"Chuchu! You naughty child... Forget it, I'll deal with you when we get home." Jiang Xiaofen put away her phone, looking a bit frustrated, and hurriedly walked towards the car with Chuchu.

Mu Zi rubbed his forehead and quickly took out a ten-yuan bill from his pocket, throwing it on the ground.

Then, he shouted towards Jiang Xiaofen's back, "Auntie, did you drop your money?"

Jiang Xiaofen turned back in surprise, looking at Mu Zi bending down to pick up the money. She checked her wallet while murmuring, "I don't think so... it's not mine."

By this time, Mu Zi had already walked up to her with the money in hand. "Isn't it yours?"

"No," Jiang Xiaofen shook her head, "It must belong to someone else."

"Oh. I thought it was yours," Mu Zi looked disappointed and turned to walk back. He took a few steps but stopped again. "Auntie, I heard Chuchu mention earlier that you were looking for a tutor?"

Jiang Xiaofen, who was about to walk to the front of the car, turned back in confusion. "Yes."

"Well, do you need any specific expertise?"

"Computer technology," Jiang Xiaofen replied, "This child only knows how to play games and chat online. I want to hire a tutor to teach her something useful."

"Coincidentally... Auntie, I just graduated from a computer school, and I'm currently looking for a job," Mu Zi said earnestly.

"Oh?" Jiang Xiaofen looked Mu Zi up and down, apparently having a favorable impression of this honest and warm-hearted young man...
