Chapter 33 - A Stroke of Genius (1)

Of course, Mu Zi had deliberately dropped the fish tank, choosing the perfect moment to do so.

The fish tank shattered on the ground with a loud crash. Fu Yang and others nearby instinctively turned their heads to look. In that instant, Mu Zi had already closed the window. The intense reflection from the tempered glass of the window shot directly into their eyes. Fu Yang saw only a burst of white light and then couldn't see anything. His rollerblades kept spinning rapidly, carrying him straight into a roadside nursery! Although temporarily blinded, Fu Yang sensed the danger. Relying on his superb skating skills, he forcefully braked less than half a meter away from the nursery.

Just as he sighed in relief, a motorcycle rushed from behind and hit him, sending his body flying through the air, drawing a graceful arc before crashing harshly to the ground.

The scene fell silent for more than ten seconds before people began to shout in panic...

Mu Zi and Ouyang Liuse walked side by side on the street, her black hair fluttering in the summer breeze, and her white dress dancing like a descended angel. Her radiant figure passing through the crowd attracted many gazes. Mu Zi felt blissful, as if he was floating on air.

However, Ouyang Liuse seemed preoccupied, her lips pale and her face grave, obviously shaken by the sudden incident at the school. After a while, she murmured to Mu Zi, "Fu Yang, he won't die, right?"

Mu Zi glanced at her and said vaguely, "Maybe."

"It's terrifying…" Ouyang Liuse mumbled, then suddenly remembered something and asked, "Why did you suddenly close the window?"

Mu Zi's eyes shifted, quickly replying, "I broke the fish tank and was afraid of being seen."

"Oh," Ouyang Liuse pondered for a moment, then fell silent.

They continued to walk silently on the street. Mu Zi, looking at their shadows on the ground, suddenly imagined a scene: a flashy Harley, extreme speed, Ouyang Liuse tightly hugging his waist from the back seat, her hair wildly dancing in the wind, both of them screaming and going wild, the motorcycle roaring as if it could chase everything, challenge everything, take them back to the past, carry them to the future...

The journey seemed very short, and while Mu Zi was lost in his thoughts, the gate of Green Home was already in sight.

"I'm here," Ouyang Liuse stopped and said to Mu Zi.

"Go ahead," Mu Zi hid his lingering regret and smiled.

"Yeah, you should head back early too," Ouyang Liuse waved at him and walked away.

Mu Zi stood there, blankly watching Ouyang Liuse's fading figure, feeling a sudden sadness, as if something had been pulled out of him.

Distracted and dispirited... he quickly thought of these words to describe himself.

He smiled wryly, turned around, and instead of heading into Fengxiang Mingdu, he strode back the way he came.

Destination—Chu Xiao Group Headquarters!

Chu Xiao Group, Chu Xuelin, Jiang Xiaofen... The couple was quite romantic, even naming their company with deep meaning. Mu Zi thought about it...

What he knew so far: Chu Xiao Group, Chairman Chu Xuelin, General Manager Jiang Xiaofen, mainly in real estate development, well-known in Binbei City. It was certain that the money they used to operate the company originally belonged to Li Tian.

Mu Zi circled around the elegant three-story building of Chu Xiao Group Headquarters, familiarizing himself with the terrain and structure. The building was standalone, along the street, with the main entrance facing the bustling road. To the left of the building was a parking lot about a hundred square meters large with about a dozen cars, including the BB88 BMW mentioned by Li Tian, belonging to Chu Xuelin. To the right was a pedestrian street, and at the back, another real estate company's building stood opposite, with only about ten meters of space in between.

Having studied the building's exterior, Mu Zi paid special attention to the windows, especially after successfully using a window to create an accident recently. From the outside, there were windows on all four sides of the building. The front windows were the largest and most grand, all triple-paned with glass, mosquito netting, and stainless steel burglar bars. The windows on the sides were smaller, with only glass and netting, no steel bars, and the back windows were the smallest, seemingly only for ventilation.

After studying the windows, Mu Zi walked around the building twice, thinking about how to enter and check the inside. Most importantly, he needed to know where Chu Xuelin and Jiang Xiaofen's offices were to plan his next move.

What identity should he use to enter? This first visit would affect the difficulty of his future plans, so he had to be cautious.

Business talk?

Mu Zi looked at his clothes and thought about his age and appearance, dismissing the idea.

A distant relative of Chu Xuelin or Jiang Xiaofen? That wouldn't work either; it could only deceive them once, and his cover would be blown once he met Chu or Jiang.

A repair worker or a salesman from some company? Even worse...

What about applying for a job?

Applying for a job was a good idea. If successful, he could infiltrate the company, giving him more opportunities to interact with Chu and Jiang... But the problem was, they hadn't posted any job advertisements.

Mu Zi twirled the hair at his forehead, frowning in thought. After a long while, he couldn't come up with a good plan.

Forget it, better to go home first. Start by learning more about the two from Li Tian, their characters, behaviors, and habits in life.

Also, he needed to learn about their villa. They should go home at night, right? The villa would become a significant location, worth studying.

The situation was different now. Mu Zi remembered how hard it was to plan against the old boss without seeing the inside of his house. Creating accidents at a target's home was an effective method.

Now, he was equipped... Mu Zi contentedly touched the backpack behind him, which held a brand-new high-powered infrared telescope...

Mu Zi wasn't one to obsess over one angle. Since the idea of entering the interior was stuck, he would find another way.

In any case, understanding the two thoroughly and in detail was most important.

Know yourself and know your enemy, and you will never be defeated. Mu Zi aptly thought of this idiom.

Then, without hesitation, he headed home.
