Chapter 13 - CH:13 Light Tower

Paul rushed over the soft soil.

The trees were sparse anyway, and the light monsters didn't attack him, so it was easy to cross. After running for a while, he reached the pure white tower.

The area around the tower looked just like the wind habitat, but the only difference was that the monsters here were not fighting. Nobody attacked the others to get closer to the tower.

Paul didn't feel any hostility from them, so he slowly moved forward and passed. None of them interfered with him, and Paul soon reached the gate of the tower. He closed his eyes and touched his hand against the pure white door, and the door instantly pulled him inside.

When Paul opened his eyes, he was in a completely white area. The grounds and sky were just white. He knew what he was going to do from the last tower and sat and waited until it sounded. After a while, a sound was heard.

"You will test for the legacy of the light. Do you accept?"

Paul rose from his seat, taking his hand to his chest and pulling out his sword.

"I agree."

"First floor. Enemy, B-level King Gold Spirit. Heritage test begins."

The place began to shift and created an 8-square arena with Paul in the center. There were columns in eight corners of the arena, but it was open. The columns were for limiting only.

Paul glanced around and saw the golden amorphous monster in the corner of the arena. There was a bright yellow light shining inside the monster's golden yellow color.

"Core!"

Paul didn't know exactly how to fight this monster, but when he saw his core, the first thing he thought of was destroying it. He immediately went to the opposite corner of the monster's corner and raised his sword.

After a deep breath, he had blue lightning strikes on his body. Seeing that the Golden Spirit had not acted, he was thrown forward and swung his sword at the core of the beast.

The Golden Spirit avoided the sword to its core, only its amorphous body cut away. Seeing the Golden Spirit escaping, Paul turned to him, but when he felt a danger, he immediately retreated. He was later surprised to find the cause of the danger.

The part of his body, which he had cut from the Golden Spirit, had risen like a thorn in its previous place, then returned to the monster. After seeing this, Paul realized that he should only target the nucleus.

He was about to be thrown forward, and suddenly the Golden Spirit began to change. There were distinct areas as it slowly took. Two feet and two arms, an upright posture and an average height ... The Golden Spirit had taken the shape of Paul!

While Paul was just smiling, a golden sword suddenly appeared in the hands of the Golden Spirit. This sword was a replica of the Sword of the Thousand Devils!

Paul was surprised that he didn't expect the Golden Spirit to take his own shape to fight him. The Golden Spirit threw forward and swung his sword. Paul did not avoid this attack. Instead he greeted him with his sword. He had to make good use of it because he couldn't find someone using the sword in the Abyss.

After receiving the attack of the Golden Spirit did not withdraw, but began to attack faster. This speed was far above Paul's, but Paul could afford it all. The real reason was of course his Spiritual Power, but there was something else. Paul seemed to know this sword technique.

"Basic Sword Layout!"

Paul was surprised. The Golden Spirit not only replicated his form but also the sword technique. Paul stepped back to try something and swung his sword horizontally as he rushed forward again.

"Skyline!"

Paul's attack was accompanied by sharp wind energy as well as blue lightning thundering each time the sword was swinging. The attack struck the sword of the Golden Spirit and cut it off. He then moved on to his body, but it seemed to slow down a bit. The golden spirit retreated at the last moment and rescued its core. Paul, with his eyes full of anticipation, began to study the Golden Spirit. He was wondering what to do.

After pulling back the broken piece of the sword, he reunited it and put his foot forward. He suddenly jumped forward and swung his sword horizontally.

Paul was excited for the attack at first, but his excitement later waned. As he thought, the monster was able to copy techniques that did not carry energy and only required movements, but he could not replicate a wind-like attack like the Vanishing Line.

He easily avoided the attack and swung his sword without slowing himself down like the last time.

"Skyline!"

The sword cut the monster's core and cut it in half. When this was over, the monster lost its shape and disintegrated. After the monster broke up, a sound was heard.

"You passed the first floor. You were entitled to the first legacy of the light. Are you ready to move to the second floor?"

Paul was a bit surprised that the area had not changed even though he defeated the monster, but he did not shoot it out. He stopped the blue lightning strikes and sat down and collected his meaning. After collecting mana for a while, he stood up and spoke.

"I'm ready to move to the second floor."

"Second floor. Enemy, A-level Golden-Eyed Owl. Heritage test begins."

As soon as the voice finished speaking, the corner where Paul stopped in the 8-square arena and formerly the Golden Spirit was opened and turned the arena into a 10-square arena. At the same time the arena had grown while this happened.

When Paul checked to see if there were any other changes in the arena, he suddenly felt something and looked into the direction of the sensation. There was a white bird with golden eyes in that direction. The golden eyes of the bird seemed to reach to eternity. When Paul looked into the bird's eyes, he suffered a brief pain in his head and began to dizziness. Then the bird began to grow.

The bird grew to the same size as Paul. When Paul was aware of the danger, he raised his sword and surrounded by blue lightning strikes.

The bird facing Paul suddenly split and turned into three white owls. These owls grew briefly, and then all of them were thrown to Paul. Paul didn't fully understand what was going on, but when he realized the danger of his situation, he swung without hesitation.

"Skyline!"

He had cut two of the wind-sword owls. He was heading for the third, where Paul saw that bird attacking from below and then felt a sharp pain in his leg. The owl had just scratched his leg, but the pain was incredible. It was that Paul had fallen on one knee.

Everything about this owl was weird. First he grew up, then he split and multiplied. Paul had never heard anything like it. In this state, Paul suddenly heard his master's voice.

"Stupid! Why did you learn to use spiritual power? Use it!"

Paul didn't understand what his master was talking about. Until he closed his eyes and looked around with his spiritual power.

"Illusion!"

Paul's current situation was completely an illusion. So much so that the pain in his leg had disappeared. Because there was no wound there. He never even left the owl. He was just trying to kill Paul's mind using illusion.

Paul got angry and was thrown into the never-displaced owl. The owl tried to pull back at the last minute, but it was too late. The sword had already split his body in two.

After the owl died, Paul slowly opened his eyes. As he had expected, the illusion had already disappeared. Then a sound came.

"You passed the second floor. You were entitled to the second legacy of the light. Are you ready to move to the third floor?"

Paul sat for a while to think about the previous situation and thought. It was the first time he had been subjected to a mental attack, and it seemed strange to him, and he was excited.

To hypnotize him, even to hurt him, by just looking at the opponent ... That was great!

In the future, he decided to develop his spiritual strength and stood up and spoke.

"I'm ready to move to the third floor."

"Third floor. Enemy, A-level King Pure Spirit. Heritage test begins."

Another two corners of the arena were opened, transforming the arena into a large 12-square arena. Paul looked around for a while and then saw his opponent.

The King Pure Spirit was the transparent state of the Golden Spirit. It had a light white tone and would have been very difficult to notice if the core inside had no brightness. Especially in this area where everything is white.

Paul could not afford to underestimate his opponent and prepared to fight using both his own feelings and his spiritual power. By the time he used his spiritual power, the blue lightning had already surrounded him and his sword.

Paul jumped forward without waiting and swung his sword horizontally.

"Skyline!"

Lightning thunder and high wind energy sword moved towards the monster and cut off its core. But something was wrong. After a while, Paul realized that he could not feel the monster with his spiritual strength. He stood across it but could not feel it. Fearfully scanned the rest of the arena, but found nothing. This was very strange. It was as if the beast wasn't there.

But he was there. Paul saw the monster with his eyes, and his spiritual power didn't feel the monster, so he had to trust his eyes.

While he was contemplating, suddenly a pain appeared on his back. He had a huge scar on his back now.

Paul collapsed in pain. He saw that monster never move across it. Then how did he attack from behind? While she was thinking, Spadia suddenly started talking.

"You stupid! Did you think that spiritual power can sense everything? You can feel the surrounding with spiritual power, but what if your opponent is in an environment like you entered in meditation? What will you do?"

Paul couldn't say anything. He couldn't find anything to say.

"What you have to do is simple. You will be one with the environment and you will study yourself. Every change, every movement ... And finally you will find it. It is difficult to move in a situation with the environment. So find it first, then attack. Call again if you can't. this."

Paul understood half of his master's words. There must be a situation with the environment where he feels everything that happens around him when he enters the fog. He even felt the leaves fall. But Paul didn't understand why it was so hard to move around. It was enough to fit his body into the environment.

Not wanting to risk the monster attacking, he stood up and closed his eyes. As the blue lightning slowly faded, he began to take deep breaths and slowly understood his surroundings. After a while, he felt everything. He felt the quiet silence and loneliness in the arena. Except for one thing ...

It's an amorphous thing that's slowly moving towards him. Paul understood that this was the King's Pure Spirit, but he did not act immediately. First of all, he wanted to act in this state. He slowly studied his surroundings, each movement and the order of these movements. Then he took a step in a way that did not disturb this order.

My name didn't make any sound. In the same way, he didn't give a feeling. It was like a natural thing. It's normal and it's always happening.

By the time he stepped, the monster had come very close and was preparing to attack. Paul gripped his sword firmly and swung without fear.

"Skyline!"

The sword carrying a strong wind energy split the core of the King Pure Spirit without making any noise, and despite this strong wind energy it did not disturb the surrounding order. All he did was eliminate an alien.

After splitting the monster's core in half, Paul slowly opened his eyes. His breath returned to normal and he sent his sword back to his seal.

Spadia was surprised when she did so. Being with the environment without even meditating, moving easily after being with the environment, even attacking and killing! That was extraordinary. Spadia was happy, but she was more confused.

Paul remained silent and waited for the area to heal the wound on his back. When the wound was completely healed, a sound was heard.

"The wounds that could prevent your education have been healed. You passed the third floor. You were entitled to the third legacy of the light. Are you ready to enter the training zone?"

Paul had a calm expression on his face as he listened. Of course he was happy, but he felt strange about what he felt in the previous war.
