There has got to be another way of waking me up. Seriously every time.
"De'rax do you think there is a better way to waking me up?"
He chuckles. "Possible. But it is good you are a light sleeper. For when we go to the places I talked about earlier you will have need of it."
I grumble under breath about logical aliens.
"When will we make it to your home world?"
"We are there. That is why I came to get you."
I nudge Caylee awake. She looks at De'rax and assumes that we have arrived. She follows me off the bunk as he hands us food. We quickly eat and follow him back through the twists and turns of the ship. I stop to take in the view and oh what a view it is. Shiny buildings made of some kind of glass and metal stand at intervals. Between each building is a large sized pink tree. Around each is a bed of orange and purple flowers. An interesting combination but seems to flow. On the street walked many different people while hover jets floated by. I looked above the buildings to see two sun's and a moon all seen to be high in the sky. The sky itself was lavender with what looked to be blue fluffy clouds. Through it all De'rax just let Caylee and me take it all in. When we had finished he spoke.
"Beautiful isn't it?"
"I agree. Nothing like I have ever seen."
"Your world does not look like this?"
"No. Most of the things look similar but our trees are green our sky is blue the clouds are white. But both are striking in their own right."
"I would like to see your world someday. What is it called?"
"Earth."
"Earth...Interesting name. I don't know where that is at. You must have been brought far."
"They had us in hibernation for a week. Not sure how long that is on your home."
"About 6.2 clicks or 2 months. Give or take a few days."
"Not sure what all that amounts to but it seems that your days last longer than earth's."
"That is probably true."
He nodded and motioned for us to follow him. He walked us to a hover car where we climbed on and began a smooth ride to his home. It didn't take long and we landed on a wide lawn with a large sized house.
We disembarked and walked up the stairs stepping into the entrance hall. The ceiling went up high with a chandelier made of the same metal as the buildings. So high that I don't think De'rax could reach. Stairs to the right and left curved up to the next floor. Doors to either side opened into a dining room and an office. The door between the stairs opened and a tall blue skined lady emerges. She had black hair and eyes the same color as her skin. She was wearing a purple flowing shirt and skirt of a light material. She smoothly walked up to us and bowed her head.
"Welcome home Lord General. How was your trip?"
"It was decent Av'a. I was able to find what I needed. I also picked up a new servant. Come here Caylee."
My cousin comes around from behind him to stand for a brief inspection from Av'a.
"This is Caylee. She will be working here for now and under my protection. Caylee what can you do?"
"I am a very good cook."
"Lord General already has a chef. He needs no more. What else can you do?"
"I can sew."
"Sew? What is that?"
"Making clothes or other items with cloth and thread."
"Lord General does..."
"Wait Av'a. I might be able to use this ability. Can you make clothes with hidden compartments?"
"You mean pockets to hold weapons or survival items? Yes I can. I can also make clothes for Kyra if they are needed."
"I will let you know about Kyra but a pair of leg covers with secret places to hide knifes as to not be detected would be good."
"Just show me the material with your measurements and I should be able to make something in a couple of days."
"Very good. Av'a show Caylee to her room and the workspace she will use. Also get her some fabric to make herself some clothes as well. She will not continue to wear that while here."
"Yes Lord General. This way Caylee. Oh and my lord. Would you like me to take the wolf as well?"
"No. I will take her with me. You do as I bid."
