The battle was destructive, but despite it being like that, Ifrit was still pushing back Ryuuji even though the latter is now utilizing his chaos eyes. It was as if Ifrit himself could read Ryuuji's attacks.
Whenever Ryuuji uses his eyes, Ifrit would always seems to know where his ability would activate, due to that he can easily dodge the attack while dealing with a counter attack. With such momentum against Ryuuji, it was no wonder why Ifrit still have the upperhand agaisnt Ryuuji.
In one slash Ryuuji was sent flying back, as Ifrit quickly followed him with a jump, before smacking him back to the ground.
Quickly recovering from his fall, Ryuuji then used his eyes once more as he looked at Ifrit and muttered.
"Destroy!"
Under that one word, space around Ifrit suddenly twisted, causing the latter to quickly realize and immediately jump away before an explosion happened to that specific area.
When Ryuuji saw that Ifrit dodged that attack, he then quickly looked back towards Ifrit's direction in order to attempt to use his ability once more, only to realize that the latter himself had already lounged towards him. Due to that Ryuuji quickly held up his sword to block the attack and immediately looked towards Ifrits in between their clash, this time he was aiming for his head.
"Explode!!!"
Unfortunately Ifrit sensed the attack coming his way, as he quickly pulled his head to the side and avoided having his head explode due to space twisting to destruction. The moment he dodged that point blank attack, he then quickly kicked thr surprised Ryuuji away, as he went into a stance and sent out multiple slashes made out of fire towards Ryuuji's direction.
With that a huge explosion roared all over the place, as Ryuuji was sent stumbling back after getting caught by that attack. However despite being ragdolled like that, he never let his guard down even for a second, making him able to react when Ifrit suddenly did a lounged sword thrust attack, which sent him flying further back when he blocked it with his own sword.
The moment Ryuuji was sent flying away once more, Ifrit then suddenly appeared behind Ryuuji using some kind of instantaneous movement, before it infused a high temeprature flame on its sword and slashing it down towards Ryuuji.
Just like that a huge sword wave like slash stretched out from Ifrit's sword unto the darkness far out the distance, as it shook the whole realm and somewhat tempeted with its temperature. The once cold temperature of the void, was now brimming hot by the heat of Ifrit's attack.
To be exact such an attack was so strong that it has the capability to obliterate a whole city in just one attack. Since this was a void with no life, Ifrit could then go all out with its attack without thinking of the casualties that may come along the way. That's just how strong Ifrit is without its restrictions.
But since this realm was somewhere around the space of the spirit domain inside the link between Ryuuji and Ifrit, Ryuuji then managed to survive despite the attack being powerful enough to kill him upon contact. However even though he survived, Ryuuji manage to sustain a huge amount of wound on his body as hus arms begun to shake from the recoil of trying to defend from the attack.
The scale of its destruction was so unprecedented that it even left Ryuuji speechless. This was the true power of Ifrit, if he could synchronize with Ifrit, he can't fully imagine just how strong he will be. This was what he wants, the power to protect, power so strong that nothing could hinder his way. But in order to achieve that, he needs to win.
With that despite the aching pain kn it's body, Ryuuji then continously used his chaos ability from afar causing multiple successive explosions to erupt and making it hard for Ifrit to even get close.
And whenever Ifrit manage to figure out the pattern of his attack and charged through its gaps, Ryuuji would then cause an explosion to erupt in a vertical line preventing Ifrit from even getting close to him.
Finally using his chaos eyes ability, Ryuuji then glanced at the area near Ifrit, as he materialized a black hole appearing beside him, causing the space to get twisted like a twister and all manner of light being sucked in by the small black hole.
Due to making this black hole which even surprised Ifrit, Ryuuji's eyes begun to bleed as his ability was being overused by Ryuuji in order to contend against the enemy. Since using the chaos eyes to actuvate its latent ability could stress out the brain of a person, side effects would naturally occur in prolonged use, as the body can only handle much stree that the brain can allow.
With this, due to Ryuuji overusing his ability, veins started popping out around his eyes sockets, as his eyes begun to cry out blood and his nose started to bleed out which indicates internal injuries.
But despite feeling the pain coursing through his head and the feeling as if his head was about to explode, Ryuuji still kept his stance as he gathered his mana unto his sword which soon turned to flames, as he tried to re-enact what Ifrit had done which shook the whole dimension.
In one slash, a huge amount of flames surged forth like a sword wave, as Ifrit was caught off guard and was shocked to see that Ryuuji tried to imitate his previous attack. Nevertheless he still the skill was just an imitation and not the real thing itself, due to that it naturally had its weak spots which Ifrit took advantage off and completely destroying Ryuuji's attack.
Upon seeing that his attack failed, Ryuuji was surprised by this result as he tries to deny the outcome that had transpired infront of him. However due to his body being heavily injured and his internal injuries, his body soon gave out, as he fell on the ground completely exhausted from the clash itself.
Upon seeing this Ifrit then once more looked at Ryuuji and somewhat gave him a skeptical look after remembering him trying to imitate his attack. For once since a long time, he was intrigued.
