Chapter 194 - Chapter 194:[The Darkest Flame and The Brightest Flame III]

[Moscow]

As both Kanzaki and Kentaro moved all over the streets, crashed in to the walls, destroy lanes after lanes of cars, and even completely burned down multiple areas with their flames from their every clash, they then  finally crashed down on opposite side of the road, as the latter kicked the former away in just one opening.

While Kentaro manage to safely land himself on his foot after spinning down to turn down his momentum, Kanzaki on the other hand crashed on his back, as he forced himself to endure the pain  but still seemingly was able to recover. AT this moment on, they then finally left the central area as they begun fighting somewhere along the east avenue of the city.

On the other hand the moment both of them crashed unto that specific road in the area, the surrounding bystanders quickly saw the danger they were in as mass panic rose in that specific place, as people begun to scramble away to safety. Because of this any agents or soldiers that were planning to head over towards Kanzaki's direction and help, were literally stalled and pushed around by the crowd that are trying to escape from danger. With that it would be hard for them to reach Kanzaki's place and provide support.

On normal occasion, Kanzaki would have minded the bystanders and think first of their safety rather than his situation as a priority, but due to the effect of having his genetic lock unlocked in order to fully use a human's maximum potential, and the strain of his foresight alongside the adrenaline rush, he was then not in right state of mind as his sole focus was directed at his target in front of him.

In fact he was so focused that he himself had blocked out unintentionally any noise from his surroundings aside from himself. Also he had unconsciously controlled the target foresight of his ability to solely his own death future and excluding anyone around him. With that being the case, it seems like his foresight ability can be adjusted based on his concentration.

Without further ado, Kentaro quickly gathered flames unto the tip of his sword as his own white flames raged on which formed a dome barrier around him to protect himself while charging up his attack. Upon seeing this Kanzaki induced his sword's own black flames around its frame to the point that it grew wild and big and begun to melt his surroundings.

The moment both sides finished charging up their attacks which disrupted the temperature in the area and begun to melt steel, Kentaro then thrusted out the torrent of flames towards Kanzaki, while the latter quickly sent out a tsunami of flames towards Kentaro himself.

In that moment both flames of different nature but same category of temperature, then crashed against each other as its flames spread out like a tidal wave unto the surroundings and it's momentum competed against each other as if formed a wall of fire in between them.

The flames raged on for a couple of minutes, as both sides begun to prepare for their initial clash, the moment the flames subsided. Not long after the flames then  slowly died down as it grew small overtime due to lack of concentrated supply of flames from their host.

As soon as the flames  in between them shrunk down to the point that they can finally see a hint of hair on the other side, both of them then charged towards each other simultaneously, as their initial clash caused another shockwave which destroyed the road and all the glasses surrounding them.

After the initial strike, both of them begun speed blitzing around the area, as they clashed multiple times until one of them shows any signs of opening for them to exploit, but due to the differences in experience, Kentaro slowly pushed back Kanzaki, as he surprisingly grabbed ahold of his neck the moment the latter showed an opening  and slammed him unto the ground, before throwing him towards the the building in front of him which pierced him through the third floor.

The moment Kanzaki crashed unto the ceiling of the third floor of the building, he then quickly recovered as he landed on the floor and begun running back  just in time for him to dodged Kentaro's ranged attack of multiple sword waves made of of flames. Because of that attack, the floor from the first floor up to the fifth floor of the building, got one part of its area completely destroyed and some civilians caught in its crossfire and were either killed or knocked down unconscious.

At the same time, Kanzaki ignored the wails of the innocent bystanders and even ignored  their future deaths, as he rushed out from the destroyed area as he attacked  Kentaro with his torrent of flames from above.

But that attack proved useless as Kentaro simply slashed away his flames and created a space for him to thrust out his sword. But the moment he puts in a thrust, Kanzaki  then quickly parried it to the side while using the former's  force as an anchor for him to spin around in midair and land beside him.

Grabbing his sword with both of his hand, Kanzaki slashed upward, simultaneously when Kentaro slashed downward. With that another shockwave reverberated around the area, as Kanzaki was blown back and thrown out in the middle of the streets.

Just as Kanzaki was about to recover, his foresight kicks up once more as his eyes darted to the side and saw Kentaro slashing his sword towards him, Due to that with an incorrect position, he force himself to block the attack with one hand, which blew him away farther from that different in force and made him crash down on his back.

But before he could even take a moment of time to figure out what happened, Kentaro once more seemingly blinked beside him, as he punched him straight to his face, before pulling up his air and slashing him with his violent white flames.

With such an attack, Kanzaki crashed unto another building on the corner of the street, as he laid back on the pile of rubble as blood seeped out from his mouth, nose, eyes, and even his wound that he received. Aside from that he also accumulated burns all over his body and even broken bones from unlocking genetic lock and overexerting his body. Even thought he could fully utilize a human's body capacity in all manner of stat to its maximum potential, his body itself couldn't catch up from his movement to the point that its slowly breaks down internally.

As a price for unlocking his genetic lock, his bones on his leg and arms started to crack, his tendons begun to show signs of snapping, and even his veins begun giving signs of popping from overexertion. With that, now that his was put down, all the feeling he neglected begun catching up to him as his whole body jolt in shock, and pain surged all over.

Unable to scream out loud from the pain, Kanzaki felt every pain unimaginable all over his body parts as he cant stop his bleeding, nor can he  even move.

"I... cant move.... damn it! i cant move....Its not over yet! i still haven't saved Claire.... Move.... Haa.... I'm too tired.... so... sleepy.... but i cant sleep.... I have to save... who am i saving again?... why am i... damn it! i cant think straight.... i'm... losing blood... so sleepy , so tired...."

At this point on, with his state being cooled down and reverting back to normal after receiving a fierce shock throughout his body, Kanzaki slowly losses his mind due to blood loss and lack of oxygen in his brain, at this point on he was so close to death, that he felt that by the moment he closes his eyes, he would die for sure.

No matter how much he tried to stay sane, his body just wouldn't follow his command, as he slowly losses his feeling on his hand and dropped his sword. After that he begun having flashbacks of his life as such experience can only be felt by anyone who was at death's door.

In that moment, Kentaro slowly walked in towards the place where Kanzaki laid down as he was confused on why the latter was so late in getting back out and retaliating against him. All this while the fight had been quick paced, but now that Kanzaki was late to respond from his attack, he was now confused on why that happened which resulted to him searching for where he had blown away his opponent.

Not long after, Kentaro found Kanzaki laying on a pile of rubble and understood  on why he didn't respond. Kanzaki's eyes were slowly losing life, looks like his attack had knocked him back to his original state which caused this reaction. His opponent was at deaths door, with that he sheathed back his blade and turned off his chaos ability.

As a swordsman to another swordsman, death on a battlefield was a natural thing and no one can escape it no matter how talented a person is. But there is one thing all swordsman have when facing another swordsman who is strong, and that is respect. As a show of respect he kept his sword as he left Kanzaki on his own before letting out a few words for him.

"You did well to push me this far and made me use the full extent of my ability, its time for you to rest.... If only you weren't an enemy, we could've become  friends in the path of swordsmanship"

With those words Kentaro then left the area, as he left Kanzaki bleeding out and knocking in death's door. But the person himself can't afford to lose himself right here, but he also cant stop himself from slowly closing his eyes. In just a few seconds, his vision then completely went dark and all noise were cancelled.

But instead of death greeting him upfront, a surge of golden energy slammed stairght to his consciousness and completely swallowed him up.
