Jaxon woke up, staring at the sky. As he looked down, he realized he was dangling from the tallest building in his city.
He looked up again, and saw Thorin leaning over the edge. He was staring at Jaxon with a slight smile on his face.
"It's really a shame..." Thorin sighed. "I do really miss Darkshadow sometimes." Thorin knew there was truth in those words, but he knew Jaxon didn't think so. He could see the hatred in his eyes. He RECOGNIZED those eyes. "I really should've kept them around for a little longer..."
Jaxon glared up at Thorin, his eyes burning like crimson flames. He struggled in the air as Thorin pretended to let go of him.
"I also found this thing in their belongings..." Thorin pulled out a necklace, with a crystal carved into the shape of a heart. It was an amulet. "I heard it was very precious to Darkshadow.. though I don't know why." He dangled it over the edge. "I might as well drop it."
"DON'T YOU DARE!!" Jaxon screeched.
The amulet began to plumet and Jaxon latched onto it just in time. He stared down at it, realising it was a fake. He watched the real amulet fall past him, and felt and heard a crack run through his spine.
He heard Thorin laughing maniacally as he was dropped head first. He wanted to move, do anything to save himself, but he was already plummeting towards the ground much too quickly.
"I'll see you in hell Dark!" Thorin called after him. "Maybe then we could get along once more..."
It was all darkness following his fall, he felt like he was drowning in ink as he looked around. Why did he keep getting hurt all the time!?
Phoenix dropped Jaxon's broken body at the front door of a very large and pretty mansion. He rang the doorbell and hoped someone important and not an employee would answer.
Spencer sat up from his nap on the couch to one of his employees shrieking in terror. He shouted for them to shut up and that he would be there in a moment.
"I am SURE there is nothing scarier than--" Spencer let out a high pitched wail at the sight of Jaxon's mangled body. He ordered his servants to take him in and put him in the guest room immediately.
'Thank Lupus it was this psychopath's house and not some normal person...' Phoenix thought to himself.
Spencer paced back and forth, flinching everytime he heard the snapping sound of Jaxon's bones, rapidly putting themselves back together. He stared down at him, he seemed peaceful for the most part.
Spencer clenched his fists and sighed. "I wonder who was stupid enough to hurt you..?"
Fog thickened around Spencer and the trail from where Jaxon was, to where his attacker was were shown pretty quickly. Spencer smiled and knew exactly who his next victim would be, once Jaxon was alright.
Jaxon felt their bones snap back together for the last time and their eyes opened in pain. They looked up and locked eyes with Spencer, who was staring with a worrisome look on his face.
"Y-you're awake..?" He had to blow a piece of lavender hair out of his face, as he sat by Jaxon's bedside. He felt worry fill his heart as he stared into Jaxon's eyes, there was something wrong, worst than having their body broken. But he didn't feel fear coming from Jaxon, instead, it was shame, maybe hatred, definitely sadness and a touch of embarrassment. "What happened..?"
Jaxon narrowed their eyes and shook their head. "Don't worry about it.." They looked down. "I need to get much, much stronger.." They got up and began walking out of the room.
"You can't just leave!"
"Why not?" Jaxon looked back at him, their stare colder than ice. There was something up and Spencer NEEDED to find out.
Jaxon made it out the door and headed to the training clearing, pulling hair out of their face. They wiped some blood from their face and began training, training harder and better than before.
Phoenix watched with a smirk on his face. He had expected Jaxon wouldn't meet Thorin for a very long time, but he guessed it was better for them to have met this early, rather than Jaxon going after him and not being ready.
Swan stood in a tree, watching Jaxon train like they never had before. She could tell something serious happened to get them into the right determination, so she left him to train and went to plan out the next training session.
Elizabeth kept her eyes locked on a boulder she was training near. She was going to smash that rock, whether it took days or not, it would happen.
She wanted to smash the rock, to prove to herself that she wasn't just some monster who killed things with her touch. She wanted to prove to herself that she was stronger than her ability.
Elijah sat against a tree, listening to music and eating a bowl of soup. He felt more comfortable now that he was away from Malachite for this long. Though he still couldn't sit quietly or fall asleep in the dark just yet, he didn't think he'd ever be able to really.
"Maybe I'll just end up taking a Coward's path for the rest of my life.." He stared at the ground, letting the wind ruffle his hair slightly. "It would be much, much easier wouldn't it..?"
Elijah narrowed his eyes and growled. "No, no. No no no!" He shouted. "I will not be some coward!" He puffed his chest and kicked at the dirt. "I am Elijah Springtale and I am not taking the easy way out!!"
Wind pulled at him as he stood still, and a familiar face stood before him.
"Hey." Cat barely waved his hand, before narrowing his crimson coloured eyes. "What are you doing?"
"Having another crisis."
"You throw that word around like it's not serious."
"Because I'm not serious." Elijah brushed his hair back out of his face and adjusted his hoodie. "It doesn't matter anyway, what do you want?"
"I was just coming to check on you," Cat sighed, "you haven't really spoken to anyone since we rescued you.."
"Hm, I guess I'm not ready to talk to them.." Elijah began walking away. "Now let me be, Kitten."
