Chapter 5 - Big Bad Wolf (1.5)

"What do you want?" Ion huffed as Jaxon lead him underneath the stairwell.

"I need to form a truce with you," Jaxon began, "I know you hate me and all, but I need help and am willing to make it up to you if you help me." Jaxon pleaded with Ion, he need someone strong to teach him how to avoid getting his ass kicked, and it seemed like Ion might be the perfect fit. He also hoped since Ion was so smart, he'd be able to figure out what was wrong with Jaxon.

"No." Ion's answer was blunt and straight to the point, which kind of just broke Jaxon.

"Oh come on please?" Jaxon plead again, "I really need your help, you're like super smart and I need someone who's smart's help!"

"If you want my help then you have to prove you can make it up to me." Ion hissed. "Meet me in the Slender Forest after school." Ion stalked off before Jaxon could say anything.

Jaxon ran for the woods the second the bell rang, signaling the school day's end. He ran for the first clearing he found and accidentally charged right into Ion.

He fell backwards and shook his head, before realizing Ion was standing over him with an annoyed expression. "Could you get any clumsier?" His green eyes locked with Jaxon's, how were his eyes so close to the colour of emeralds anyway, how much more vibrant could someone's eyes get?

"Sorry.." Jaxon mumbled before getting up and dusting himself off. "I just thought you probably wanted me to get here quick.."

"You're right, but next time don't slam into me." Ion growled before leading Jaxon along a narrow path through the woods. Jaxon looked around, this forest was beautiful and smelled nice, so he wasn't complaining. The only thing that worried him was where they were going, because he definitely did not know.

They got further and further into the woods, and Jaxon felt like he needed to jump everytime he heard a twig snap, or the leaves rustle. Until he finally heard a low growling noise.

A huge black wolf that seemed unnaturally large burst from the bushes and landed on top of him, pinning him down and unsheathing his claws just slightly so they were ready to tear into Jaxon's chest.

Jaxon struggled while Ion just stood there and watched. He couldn't push the wolf off of himself, and was wondering why Ion wasn't either trying to shove the wolf off or running for help.

"Calm your shit Jaxon." Ion sighed as Jaxon squirmed and wriggled under the weight of the monstrous canine that had him pinned. "He won't hurt you if you prove you aren't a threat."

The wolf snarled and then looked at Ion, who nodded and the mutt quickly backed off and sat next to a tree. The wolf slowly changed into the form of a large man, with black hair and grey eyes.

"What the hell?" Jaxon looked from the werewolf to Ion and back. "Did you sick one of your wolf friends on me!?"

"No, he simply wanted to make sure you weren't stupid enough to attack me." Ion huffed before shoving his hands in his pockets. "Now let's get to the training circle, if you're gonna help me, you'll become my guard and in return you'll get free battle training." Ion lead the way to a clearing filled with training equipment, a tall werewolf with dark skin, dark hair and glowing stripes on his arms and legs was practicing with a smaller werewolf with white hair and red stripes on his face.

The dark haired boy knocked the white haired boy on the ground and stopped to look at them. "Who's this guy?" His voice was low and soft. He tilted his head and unsheathed his claws. "A new training partner?" His voice made you want to trust him with your life.

"Siren, Shackle, this is Jaxon, he'll be joining Siren as my guard at school." Ion sighed. "But since I can kick his ass, he needs to be trained."

Siren immediately tossed a dagger at Jaxon, who took it straight to the shoulder and tumbled to the ground. Siren smiled as he watched Jaxon fall.

"Looks like you suck." Shackle decided. "He'll need to train hard before he's good enough to guard Ion."

Siren pointed another blade at Jaxon. "You'll need to fight each of Ion's guards so we can see what you need to work on." Siren pulled the blade from Jaxon's shoulder and walked back over to Shackle and they began talking.

Jaxon held his hand over his wound and scowled. "Why me..?" He mumbled, while Ion moved his hand out of the way and stitched up the wound. "Why did you give me a guard job?"

"Because it's the only thing I could think of that wouldn't make you too annoying." Ion hissed and finished patching Jaxon's wound before heading over to Shackle and Siren.

The large werewolf came and stood next to him. "I'm Ghost by the way." He rumbled before walking over to the three others to hear what they were saying.

Jaxon shut his eyes and tried to block out all the sound around him, he decides he was gonna try and practice with his fire power while he waited.

Jaxon sat locked up in the room from a couple nightmares before. He was pounding on the door trying to get someone outside's attention. He felt a hand grab him by the hair and screamed as he was dragged back over to a chair, where he was handcuffed to. The man with silvery white hair stood over him, before punching him in the face, and doing this over and over again.

Jaxon's eyes widened as he suppressed a scream as he came back to reality. Shackle, Siren, Ion and Ghost where still talking with eachother on the other side of the clearing. Jaxon stood up and breathed a sigh was his wound quickly healed and he walked over to the others.
