~Its been one year since I escaped from the camp and from this point on I feel more one with nature. I have studied all the land around the camp and studied all the layout of the forest around. I've learned all the times when the trucks come into the base and when they leave. I look down at my best friend, my young pup has turned into a strong big wolf. It's strange thinking of how much we both have changed over the years.
~I have gotten stronger and gained more knowledge, while damon has grown so big. He's not the same small pup that I once found in the cave I now call home. Laying on my back in the grass looking up at the sky, it was so bright outside. Nice blue sky with cotton white fluffy clouds. With a jerk of the fishing pole next to me, I move with a quick movement catching the pole. Damon starts barking at the fish as I try to reel it in, with a lot of trouble.
~This fish was extremely big, one I have never seen before. "I am starving," I yelled to Damon with joy and excitment on my face. As my stomach rumbles I finally catch the fish and bring it onto the land. As I load up all the fish all up into a net I made, I start to walk up to the cave to start the fire and get the fish ready to be cooked. Once I eat I'm going to search the area around the camp before I go to bed.
~I start to cook the fish over the fire as Damon lays down towards the end of the cave. He never really stays inside much, it's almost like hes worried something is going to happen. Although it is a shame. The fish start to crackle over the fire, I can not wait till these are done.
~Once the fish were done I call Damon over to get something to eat. He walks over and sits down right next to me nudging at me a couple times. I smile at him and hand him his portion of the food removing all the bones. We eat all our food quickly and return to the lake to get a quick drink. I pat his head, as I get up and start to stake out the camp.
