She had a very positive outlook and was also a very principled person. Mu Qing was also a little nervous. "I'm so afraid of seeing the results. With good luck, I hope that I did well."
"Good luck getting all the multiple choice questions right," Mu Zilin said jokingly.
Zilin thought that Mu Qing was acting very funny. She even pretended to be praying. Was there a need to pray? It was just a monthly exam.
Mu Qing scoffed. "I'm not like you," Mu Qing said sentimentally. Like most people, she prayed for a miracle to happen. She knew that Shuishui did not like to talk about such things. Shuishui believed in hard work. Mu Qing was silent as she prayed for good results.
She was not as confident as Shuishui. She was also not as indifferent as Zilin. She was very nervous. She felt that her scores would be the worst. She comforted herself with the fact that she had attended remedial classes.
When the afternoon break ended, the results of the exam were released and posted on the public column.
A bunch of students crowded around the area to look. "It's not bad," a few students said.
"I messed up the exam. This is troublesome. If I had known earlier, I would have studied hard."
"Oh my god. It's about the same as what I had guessed."
"What a pity, but it's not bad."
Everyone exclaimed, "Quick, let's see who's in first place."
"The first place in the liberal arts is indeed from the key class. With so many points higher than me, there's no way to compare." Some of the students looked at the ranking for liberal arts, while the others looked at the ranking for science.
"The first place in science is Qian Shuishui. Do you know her? Her name sounds so familiar," one of the boys said in a confused tone.
"She's the one who crushed the entire city in the math competition. She's also pretty," one of the students said.
In fact, they had heard about Shuishui from their teacher, who told them that the freshmen were very impressive. He told them how Qian Shuishui scored higher than her seniors in the math competition. Their math teacher often talked about it and bragged about it. They had heard her name many times.
Mu Zilin pulled Shuishui aside. "Quick. Look for my name in the rankings."
"Not bad. You ranked 110 in science. You almost got into the Top 100," Shuishui said with a smile. Shuishui thought that Mu Zilin did quite well.
Mu Zilin laughed proudly. "This is my strength, see? But my rank in the liberal arts is so low. It's a little awkward, but I am still contented that I passed. Forget it. I will choose science in the future anyway," he said. Mu Zilin felt that it was not a big problem. He felt that his family would be happy with his results, especially since he almost made it to the Top 100.
The overall ranking was not yet posted. Everybody walked to their classes. As the students walked out of their classes, they found that the list of the overall rankings was posted. The names of the first ten people were highlighted. The top student was Qian Shuishui. Her name occupied the first place on the first list. The difference between Shuishui's score and the second placer's score was about twenty points. The scores of those in the lower ranks did not differ much, with only a difference of one or two points. Everyone soon talked about Qian Shuishui.
"This Qian Shuishui is so awesome. She is at the top of the list. She is also the highest in science, right?"
"Her score was higher than those from the key class. It's a little ridiculous. Her liberal arts score is a little low, but her science score is simply too high. Her score was 50 points higher than the second place." The others were very surprised by the difference in the scores. It was very uncommon.
They finally noticed Shuishui's total score for all three science subjects. "This score isn't wrong, right? Her total score is 300."
