Chapter 1 - Chapter One, she will not go to hell

In the darkness of night, the luxurious bedroom door was pushed open.

The petite girl tiptoed through the door.

A strong smell of alcohol mixed with the man's faint nasal sounds hit her as she passed over the threshold.

She frowned. Was he drunk?

The man's strong muscles formed a perfect curve in the bed sheet. His legs were bent, hiding his full length, but his toes poked out and were slender to the point of perfection.

"Gong Mochen, don't be afraid," she whispered, cautiously stepping towards him.

She wouldn't go to hell for creeping in here, would she? No way! It wasn't going to happen.

The man had straight eyebrows, shimmering eyes set in deep eye sockets, a well-defined chin, and a wild and unrestrained expression on his face. He was like a God in a Greek temple that could shake Heaven and Earth, and she couldn't take her eyes off him.

She lowered her head and touched the man's thin lips. "Uncle, wake up! Hahaha!" she exclaimed.

A dazed Gong Mochen woke up with a start. It was her! What was she doing here? In his house!

For a moment his thoughts were a mumbled mess, and then clarity struck him and he remembered where he was. He had already sent people to escort the girl to his foster father's house, her grandfather, so what was she doing back here?

The bodyguards he'd sent only returned when they saw that she had turned off the lights and was sleeping. The servants of the Qin family's old residence also reported that she was exceptionally obedient. She did not make any noise and stayed in her room the entire time. So what was going on?

After 18 years of habit, he had gotten used to her causing trouble. Without her in the house, the place was unbelievably quiet and empty. He'd drunk a bottle of vodka before he fell asleep, and to his surprise, he'd dreamt of her again. Again... Did that mean something?

Love was a habit, habit was an illness. If it was an illness, it had to be treated!

"Qin Sheng!" Gong Mochen grabbed the girl's arm.

Qin Sheng's arm was in so much pain that she cried out, "Ah! It hurts, you're hurting me!"

"Qin Sheng!" Gong Mochen was fully awake now. Anger rushed out from between his lips and teeth. He was so angry that he wanted to strangle the girl, knock some sense into her...

He pushed Qin Sheng from the bed.

"You promised! I can't believe you dared to sneak back!" He picked up the girl and threw her out of the bedroom.

"Uncle, I'm not leaving. I'M NOT LEAVING!" Qin Sheng was making a racket, arms flailing around.

"Go back to where you came from!" Gong Mochen slammed the bedroom door, as though he was locking her away from him, but more like locking him away from her. He was afraid that if he was pestered by her for a moment longer, he would crumble and agree to all of her unreasonable requests.

Qin Sheng banged her hands against the door in frustration, but there was no way she could sneak back in there now. Damn it! He wanted her to go back to her grandfather's house; well, he had another thing coming... In his dreams!

'Slam the door, start a fire, demolish the house!' The devious plans flashed through her mind like razor blades.

Then the plans wilted, draining away from her. She didn't have a hammer to shatter the door, or petrol to start a fire, and demolishing the house would be too slow. They were fleeting fantasies that wouldn't come true.

She glared at the tightly shut door and said, "Why did God build doors and windows? Why can't I get through it to see him?" No use... She wouldn't be able to get back in there. So what could she do now?

Bingo! Qin Sheng wouldn't be beaten that easily today. She had a plan to get his attention, to provoke a reaction out of him.

She didn't believe she would have to leave. She'd get his attention. Heaven forbid.

She ran to the window of the corridor and flipped it open. Her feet stepped onto the rough european-style windowsill. She hugged the drain pipe that ran by the window with her arms and kicked hard. Her other foot hooked onto the windowsill of Gong Mochen's bedroom. Her toes rubbed against the windowsill, loose flakes of paint digging into the sole of her foot. The sting was worth it.

When her entire foot landed on the windowsill, she pushed the drain pipe hard and sent the rest of her body across to it.

She pressed herself against the glass and clenched her hands into fists. She used the diamond ring on her little finger to scratch the glass, digging the hard gem into its surface.

The corners of her lips curled into a sly smile. Who was having the last laugh now! She wondered if Gong Mochen would regret giving her the diamond ring when he saw the scratch.

'WAHAHA! More fool you, Gong Mochen,' she thought.

Just as she started feeling incredibly pleased with herself, the ring softened and her hand knocked against the glass.

She raised her hand to look at the ring. 'F*CK! Why was platinum so soft?'

Because she'd used too much force, the flower-shaped receptacle of the ring had been deformed by the pressure. The diamond had fallen out and was nowhere to be seen! No way...

A strong gust of wind swept past her then. She was shivering from the cold. What was even more tragic was that she found she was stuck and couldn't even retreat!

Suddenly, a sharp flash of lightning forked across the sky. The loud sound of thunder followed and shook the glass away from her hand. Her body leaned back uncontrollably! She couldn't stop herself.

"Aaaahhhhh!" she screamed. She didn't want to die yet!
